After hours ( Chapter 26)

This is where the fun beginnings. The ceremony is over and we were just ready for the party. I guess that's what most people love about weddings. It's just nice to be around everyone. We love them all pretty much. 

Matt and I sat down at our table together. It was nice having everyone around, but right here it was just us. It's nice to be together, and thinking about always having each other. I stared into Matt's eyes, and I just kept smiling. He laughed " I love you... You look so beautiful!" I smiled " I love you too.... handsome!" Then there was a tap on a glass. It was time for some toasts. Severide laughed " so I guess it's time... I'd like to make a toast to both Matt and Gabby!" Severide looked at us " I've known both Gabby and Matt for a long time... We've all been friends for the longest time... Gabby has been a good friend... a good paramedic, and now an amazing doctor...! She cares and she works so hard at everything! I'm not one for all this... but I do know that Matt and Gabby work... Matt and I have not always seen eye to eye on everything... but he's come to become one of my best friends! He's more than a friend to me. Gabby and Matt were family!" 

Shay now gave her speech. She laughed " wow Severide... sweet here... I don't know what to say now..." She smiled " Well Gabby and I worked together for 12 years. We're close a lot of people would say. I was sad to see her leave my side... I get to see her a lot now too.... every time I need her she's there! She's so strong and brave! She takes pride in everything including her friends... There's noone like her.... Matt and Gabby are so great together... and I'm so lucky to know them both! Cheers to you two!" 

It was nice! We had the best wedding night! It really was the best!
