I have to get to shift. It was nearly 7:30. I didn't like leaving Gabby, but I have to go to work. She didn't have to be to work just yet. I just watched her as she was sleeping there so peacefully. I couldn't wake her. She was so peaceful, and I know getting sleep is getting harder for her. I kissed her head " love you!" She talked, half asleep " love ya too..."
I walked into the house and it was quiet. That never really happens. Everyone was kind of just doing their own thing. Mouch was reading the paper. Nobody really paid attention. I looked at Severide " hey.." He looked at me " hey... how's the home life going.." I laughed " were good!" Hermann asked " well how's Gabby! I smiled " she's good.... tired!" Mouch asked " when will we know if the baby's a boy or girl?" I laughed " when the baby comes!" Severide laughed " your not finding out the sex.." I laughed " yes... we didn't want to find out..." Hermann looked at me " yeah Cindy tried that..."
