Double Journey (Pokemon Fanfic)

Amethyst woke up to the loud beeping sound of her Suicune-themed alarm clock. Her Typhlosion, Magma stood over her, peering deep into her eyes. The flame on his back was down, revealing several orange ovals where the fire would burst from if he got angered.

She glanced across the room to the three pokeballs a on her dresser. Each contained one of six powerful pokemon she had used to become johto's champion.

Magma nudged her out of bed, where her clothes had been laid out sloppily. Her mom didn't put them like this. "Magma, did you get my clothes for me?" She asked. He nodded and let out a soft "aaarr." She laughed and rubbed his ears. Then she got dressed.

Amethyst wore a black teeshirt with a bright red pokeball on it. Over that, there was a long beige gray button-up coat, and blue jeans with red converse. It seemed like just any ordinary day, where she would get dressed at about the same time. But today, she was starting a new journey. A journey to become the Hoenn champion! Amethyst darted downstairs, long brown hair flying behind her and violet eyes bright. Behind her, Magma could barely contain his excitement. Amethyst's mother hugged her tight, telling her to stay safe and to win for her. Amethyst promised she would.

Magma behind her, she opened up the front door to see...

Snow.

Magma reared back, the white stuff really scared him!

But Amethyst was prepared.

"Magma, I can't believe you sometimes," she muttered as she put a pair of bright red snow booties on him. And then they set off.

Amethyst was only about half way Down her driveway when she heard, "Heeeyy!!! Waaaiiit!!" She turned. around. And there were her two childhood friends, Gold and Lyra.

"We're coming too!!" Lyra's Marill was bouncing in her arms as she yelled out. Amethyst responded, "okay! Hurry!" They came to a stop, panting. Gold looked at her, a grin on his face. "We caught ya," he said.

They were flying. Gold on his Pidgeot, Lyra on her Fearow, and Amethyst on Lucky, her Giratina. She had caught this Pokemon, along with another, in the distortion world, when she had gone through a portal to save her beloved Arcanine, Thunder. He had been curious about the portal, which opened up while they were exploring a rocky cliff. There, she had seen Lucky battling with a white and pink dragon, Palkia. She captured them both, naming the Palkia Pearl. She then exited the distortion, but not before she heard a loud racking cry.

The trio arrived in Goldenrod city, the place of the train they were going to take to Hoenn. A lot of people were there. The last Time Amethyst had been here, she was defeating the gym leader Whitney and her...Miltank. That was the hardest battle of her life. The Miltank had taken down her Growlithe, and Quilava only just beat it. "I hope we don't see Whitney or her Miltank. She could probably beat Red with it by now."

Gold laughed. "Probably."

Lyra nodded wordlessly, staring into a train platform. Amethyst followed her gaze to see a red haired head. They walked closer as the figure turned around. It was her rival Silver. The smirking boy walked up. "Hey weaklings." He said, looking at me. I felt my Pokeballs rattle in my bag, and Magma started snarling. "Easy," I whispered. "You know you can easily beat him, so why bother?"

Silver snorted. "You're too weak to be champion." Then he turned to Gold. "Hey bro." He nodded to him and to Lyra. I saw Lyra blush, and Silver must've noticed to because he turned to me. "Are you going to Johto?" He tried to play it cool, but Amethyst could tell he was more hopeful than anything.

Shewas about to answer when someone ran into her, pushing her into Gold. Lyra jumped out of the way to stand by silver. Amethyst glanced at Silver who was staring at Gold, his face flushed. Amethyst then looked behind her for the person who ran into her and found myself staring into red eyes.

"R-Red!!" Amethyst breathed. The first friend she made on her journey. She hugged him quickly. And behind him... "Green!" She hugged him as well. Gold fist bumped his two buddies. Lyra held onto Silver's arm, and he was blushing but staring straight at her and Red.

"You're going to Hoenn?" Green asked. She nodded. "I'm going to-"

She was cut off by the train director.

"There appears to be a Typhlosion wearing red snowboots wandering around the platforms. Please watch your pokemon, trainers."

Amethyst blushed as Red pointed at her. "That's your Typhlosion, right?" "Oh crap, it is!" Amethyst muttered embarrassedly. Thankfully, she didn't have to look far for her partner. He was standing in front of a girl and a Blaziken. "Magma!" Amethyst called her partner. He spun around, darting up to her and licking her cheek. Then he grabbed her hand and dragged her over to the girl with the Blaziken. "I'm sorry about Magma." Amethyst said. "I'm Amethyst."

The girls eyes widened. "You're Johto champion... I saw your Typhlosion on TV! His moves are awesome! I'm Diamond by the way."

Amethyst gasped. "You're Sinnoh champion! Your Blaziken is amazing!"

The two fistbumped. "Fire type buddies!"

Amethyst lead Diamond back to her friends. "Guys this is Diamond, Sinnoh champion."

Everyone said a polite greeting, and Lyra left Silver to stand by Gold, who was staring at Diamond and blushing like an idiot.

"I'm traveling to Hoenn. I want to beat the champion there." Diamond said.

"Me too!" Amethyst grinned and they fist bumped again.

"ALL ABOARD!" The conductor called, and they all got on the train.

Red led the group to a compartment on the back of the train, we all got in and sat down. Amethyst heard a whimpering noise and looked under her seat. A tiny black fox pokemon lay shaking. She got out her pokedex, she hadn't seen a pokemon like this before.

"Zorua is its name..." She whispered.

"This Zorua doesn't look like the one on your Pokedex," Silver kneeled next to her and their arms brushed. "Maybe it's shiny."

He was right. This Zorua was a light blue in instead of red. It jumped in Amethyst's lap and Silver grinned, but quickly covered it up by walking out of the compartment behind Diamond to get a drink.
