Double Journey Chapter 4

"Hey Amethyst, care for a battle?" Lyra smirked, holding a Pokéball.

"Can you take the heat?" Amethyst asked. Magma let out a roar, the flame on his back flaring up.

She could see fear flash in Lyra's eyes, but she agreed.

The group walked to the battlefield, led by Green. Amethyst went to one side of the Pokéball and Lyra to the other. Green said, "The rules are simple, each trainer can use three Pokemon and substitute at will."

Lyra started the battle by sending out a Quagsire. "Okay, Quaggy! It's your turn!"

Amethyst nodded and sent out Pearl the Palkia. Pearl let out a huge roar, and the battlefield shook. Lyra made the first move. "Go , Quaggy! Mudshot!" Quagsire shot a burst of mud at Pearl, who flew up to dodge.

"Pearl, Spacial Rend!" Amethyst called. Palkia's arm glowed pink, and he thrusted it towards Quagsire. Around the pink glow you could see the world distort, and then it hit Quagsire, knocking it out.

"Quagsire is unable to battle, Palkia wins!" Green shouted.

Palkia let out a triumphant roar upon being returned to its Pokéball.

It was a quick second battle, Lucky beat Fearow easily in one hit. Next up, it was Magma's turn. The flame on his back was huge and he opened his mouth in a long roar, eyes sparking.

Lyra sent out an Umbreon. Amethyst smirked. Magma could handle this. "Magma, Lava Plume." Amethyst called. Magma leaned his head up, and opened his mouth to release a huge spirt of lava was released. Then he leaned his head down so he glared at Umbreon through orange eyes, slamming a foot on the hard earth, causing a rupture which lava spilled from, hurting Umbreon and giving it a burn. "Umbreon, get up!" Lyra called. "Use dark pulse!" The wave of darkness came towards Magma. "Dodge it!" Said Amethyst. Magma jumped up into the air.

"Now! Finish it with Blast Burn!" A huge blast of fire incinerated Umbreon, fainting it. "Yes! Magma you did it!!" Amethyst jumped up to hug Magma. They beat Lyra!

And next, Diamond and Her were gonna battle.

Both Magma and Blaziken lay exhausted.

"It's a draw battle...no one won." Green said.

Amethyst looked in disbelief...all of her Pokemon had been KO'd!

"You're strong," Amethyst told Diamond.

"I try," said Diamond. Finally, the battles were over.
