Double Journey Chapter 21

Amethyst and Lynn met in their room at the Pokemon Center. Lynn had a dire look in her eyes. "There's trouble." She said, stroking a green dragon that was laying on the bed. The dragon rolled over on its belly. "Flygon, get up, we have to go fight."

Lynn said.

"Where are they?" Amethyst asked.

"They're outside of the Pokémon Center. But this time it's Team Aqua." Lynn answered. "They don't abuse Pokemon, but they don't really use them either. Their leader, Archie, uses force and weapons to fight and train."

"That's terrible." Amethyst clenched her fist. "What're they doing?"

"I get the feeling like they're waiting for something. They're being raucous over something, and I get the feeling it's more than a 'yo Gardevoir's so fat' joke." Lynn muttered, throwing Amethyst a pair of padded fingerless gloves. The duo walked outside, and the laughs of blue suited men already rang through their ears. "Let her go!" Silver's rough voice crackled.

Amethyst heard Diamond's loud, piercing scream, and a shot of adrenaline rushed through her veins as she pushed open the door out of the Pokemon Center. Beside her, Lynn was cracking her fists and Magma was snarling.

"Hand over your Pokemon, or well kill him." One grunt held Silver by the neck.

"She won't do anything like that." Amethyst said, a smirk slicing across her lips.

"And who's gonna stop us?" Five more grunts materiallized from behind those two.

"My dead body."

Amethyst aimed a punch at his nose. She heard bones crack and blood spurted. She put a finger into each of his eyes and kicked him in the back so hard he fell to the ground and couldn't get back up. "Anyone want another sample?" Amethyst grinned, hitting a grunt who held a Salamence axe with her fist. He winced, and Amethyst kicked him in between the legs.

"Amethyst." Lynn's jaw dropped. "You are so amazing."

Amethyst smiled at her, and turned to Diamond and Silver, who stared at her in wonder. Silver appeared to be in a daze.

An Aqua Grunt aimed his Salamence axe at her back. She felt nerves tingling and lashed around, grabbing the blade and jamming her foot into the middle of the wooden stick, snapping it in half. "Ah ah ah." Amethyst waggled a finger.

Magma at her side, Amethyst turned and she was nose to nose with Silver. "I'm traveling with you.' she said. "And Lynn is too. I can't leave any of you behind. Ever."
