Double Journey Chapter 44

Diamond and Amethyst felt powerful. They managed to make it back to the hotel and then began to change. Amethyst put on the beautiful dress• it felt like it was made for her. She straightened her hair, and swooped her eyeliner into a Persian Eye. She put on her heels, and only took one Pokémon, Arcanine, in his Pokéball. She brought a few thousand Pokédollars just in case, and then her and Diamond were ready for a night out. No drama, no stress, just them, the dance floor, and probably cute boys.

A cab showed up around 7:00, and gave them "the speech." Then they began driving to the fancy night club called the Floor. When the guards opened up the heavy doors, Amethyst's heart skipped a beat. The club was neo paradise. Electric music shook the walls as people danced on the glass floors.

"Where do we start?!" Amethyst said.

They ended up ordering a couple drinks. The legal age in Hoenn is 16, and since Diamond and Amethyst were 17, they could have some wine.

On their way to the lounge, Amethyst whispered in Diamonds ear. "Diamond. Hotties at twelve o'clock. I call the one on the right!!"

"I call the one on the left!" Diamond responded, as they coolly walked over and sat across from the boys, who did not see them yet and were looking in the other direction.

But when they finally turned around, Amethyst's heart skipped a beat.

The boy on the right's hair was a messy charcoal colour. He wore a black suit and red tie, and was undoubtedly ripped. But his eyes...they weren't chocolate brown like Red's. They were a red met by no other hue, a deepest of ruby. Amethyst felt her heart speed up again as he smiled at her. She could not get over his EYES. They were deep as a void, pulling her in and she just wanted to swim in them for eternity.

"Hi," she said weakly, feeling the flush on her face. Like, holy shit, Amethyst, you are a breaker of hearts but--he is just so amazing and you've gotta meet him and see if his personality is as good looking as the rest of him.

"Hello. I'm Garnet Whitlock." He grinned. "And you're gorgeous."

Inside, it was like a firework show in her brain. She debated on what to do, and then decided to play hard to get.

"Thanks," Amethyst looked the other way, trying to sound bored. "I get that a lot." Suddenly she just started laughing.

"I can't do this!" She giggled. "Garnet, you are one of the handsomest individuals I have met so far, and I've visited three regions!"

Garnet blushed. "Oh wow, thanks. I can say the same and more about you. Shall we hit the floor...?"

"Oh! I'm Amethyst Blackthorn!" She said, standing up when he did.

His beautiful eyes widened. "The Johto Champ? A tough girl! I'm impressed. I like strong ladies." He smiled, taking her arm.

"Haven't heard that in a while." She said sadly, while holding his arm with her own.

"Oh, that's right. I saw your interview today! It was the only thing on Ninetails News!" Garnet began to walk her to the floor.

"Oh, really? We were on TV?" Amethyst flushed, looking back at Diamond, who was at the edge of the lounge talking to Cobalt. She wondered what they were discussing!

She looked back up at Garnet, and he took her hand and waist. He was pretty tall!

"I promise I won't step on you in your pretty heels," he said modestly, as they began to dance. He was graceful and strong, but not strong enough as to hurt her. His waist against hers shot sparks through her whole body, and she prepared to dance. Most people in the club were twerking and grinding-- she hoped he didn't expect that of her.

"So, uh, what about you?" Asked Amethyst.

"I enjoy being rad. I like rad girls. I'm on vacation right now, but I am a waiter in a different region. I like ground types and, uh, music." Garnet replied. "And I don't expect anything of anyone. Expectations are just messed up opinions of what your dream girl is like. I think you have to find your dreams, not analyze every second. And I think I just found mine."

She blushed. "Aww, thanks. I think my dream just took a new setting!"

It was very late, and Amethyst could not be separated from Garnet. He was just so... Perfect! He was everything she dreamed of and more. It's like karma's kicked in, and she couldn't wait to see Red's face when it kicks him right back in the butt.

"Uh, Garnet? It's getting late. I love hanging out with you, but it's time I get back to the hotel!" Amethyst told him.

"No worries, Amethyst. I'll walk you home!" He smiled a perfect smile. They met up with Cobalt and Diamond and began to walk back to the hotel, talking and joking all the way.

"This is the best experience there I've had, by far." Said Cobalt, wrapping an arm around Amethyst's waist and pulling her close, "and it's all because I met you!"

Amethyst giggled. Nothing could make this night bad! Until they walked through the hotel doors. There, under the chandelier, were Red and Gold, with a dozen roses each.
