Amethyst didn't even know where she was leading the group. Still in her training outfit, running didn't hurt at all, but the blue sparkly backpack sure did!
The banging of the backpack against her back almost felt defeating since it was the only thing she could concentrate on. The next thing she new, she had taken her friends to a shadowy, pitch forest.
"This place isn't even on the map..." Bronze called from the back of the group. "But it's hauntingly beautiful. Makes me wish I could sit here forever with a good book!"
The group continued to walk through the forest, getting seemingly nowhere. Misdreavus and Bannette swirled around above them.
"Can we stop now?! My feet aaaaaache!!" Copper yelled.
Beside Amethyst, Lynn snorted, getting some fun-dip out of her bag. "Sorry, Princess." She yelled, discarding the sugar stick and burying her face in the fun dip.
Thunder boomed in the distance.
"Oh no!! It's going to rain!" Diamond shouted. "We have to find shelter, stat!"
The group began to run through the woods as the first raindrops plummeted from their clouds. They only had to run for a few minutes before coming across a little cabin and busting inside.
Thankfully, it was empty, but it was very clean, too. A queen sized bed resided in one corner, a stove and oven in the other. No toilets.
"It looks safe," Krys said, and Amethyst put down her stuff and let out Arcanine to be groomed. Diamond did the same with Glaceon.
Arcanine began to sniff around, and stopped near the door. His hackles raised, and Amethyst could hear a faint hissing. "Arcanine, get back!" She screamed. As Arcanine raced back, he grabbed Glaceon by the scruff of her neck and pulled her back as a Seviper burst through the door, hissing. Amethyst could see that he was not alone. Team Magma grunts- 5 of them.Amethyst was about to race forth, calling upon Arcanine to set the tone for a legendary battle--Red grabbed her arm and roughly pulled her back. She yanked away, bristling. "I can fend for myself!!!" She said scathingly. "You can't always pull me out from an important battle!!"
Red met her gaze coldly. "Those Pokemon would crush you. I know you think you're tough, but you're a girl! You're not made for the fight! Let me handle this."
Amethyst snapped back, breaking his cold gaze like glass with her own hot glare. "I'm a CHAMPION, Red. Fighting is what I do!! Girl or not, I can protect everyone here! I can protect you! I could protect a THOUSAND YOUS! And If you don't think I'm tough enough, I may as well PROVE MYSELF to you. Arceus knows I shouldn't have to."
"You're fragile as glass. You needed me to save you from Lance-" Red gloated.
"I was rooted to the SPOT." Amethyst retorted. "You think fighting is just jamming your fist up an ass or something--But I know it's more! You can think that I'm not tough enough, fine. But if you're going to keep that mindset- consider what we had OVER." She whipped around faster than a flame. The whole group was staring. Amethyst called Arcanine, and Diamond Glaceon, as she prepared to ring her anger through the Pokemon like a wet rag. Arcanine didn't even have to receive a command- he knew what Amethyst wanted and how she wanted it.
Hot.
A concentrated flame burst and an ice ball- all it took.
