Double Journey Chapter 31

Amethyst rode to to Diamond on Arcanine's back. When she saw her friend, she hopped off.

"It was the guy who abandoned the Eevees." Diamond said breathlessly.

"Where did he go?" Amethyst asked.

"I don't know. We have to chase." Diamond said Agitatedly. They hopped on Arcanine's back and rode across town, every dumpster to every store, but no sign of him. Where could he be? When they were about to round the last corner, they heard a deep voice. It sent shivers down Amethyst's spine.

"Linoone, you stupid Pokemon! Darkrai could've beaten the Pokepuffs out of you! And now, that's what I'm gonna do!"

They peeked around the corner as they heard Linoone's yelps of pain. The guy was beating the Linoone brutally. The poor pokemon barely had time to get over the first hit when the next overcame him. He shuddered and collapsed to the ground, fainted.

"Hey!" Amethyst yelled, swinging a leg over Arcanine's back to get off. Diamond did the same. The man towered over her, but undaunted she stood with a fist clenched. "Yes?" He said coldly. All of the sudden all of the distortion world broke loose as the fighting began. Arcanine took Linoone to the Pokemon Center. Latios and Nidoking fought fiercely and the man stood no chance. His pecks sagged like man boobs. Amethyst swished around, calling back her Pokemon. She was done here. She was done. She looked inside her soul, prying it apart with ice cold fingers. She was done. She stepped away from the man's body, ripped apart with shallow wounds and scratches, just enough to make him remember what she had done. She tried to find guilt inside. It wasn't there. It wasn't there.
