Double Journey Chapter 24

Amethyst paused as she waited for a command from the Blaziken's trainer, knowing who it would be and dreading the fight.

"Amethyst! Please, don't attack! Just get everyone out of here!" Diamond's voice echoed in her ears.

"Why should I trust you?!" Amethyst yelled into the smoke. Diamonds Blaziken screeched and the raucousness of Magma Grunts reached Amethyst's ears. "Just do it!" Diamond yelled. Lynn shouted. "Diamond! Is Ruby there?! Do you need our help!?" The girl and her Flygon got prepared to fly.

"Shut up for a second." Diamond yelled. Everything went silent. Diamond winked quickly and subtly, as the grunts formed a pyramid with Diamond at the point. Silence thundered for what felt like hours.Suddenly, the two grunts in front of Diamond collapsed. Suddenly Amethyst realized what had happened! Diamond and Ruby are defying the grunts, She thought. Lynn nodded and she and Flygon swept a row of gunts from their feet like a bowling ball. "Nidoking! Thunder Punch!" Nidoking's arm glowed as he sweppt the grunts off their feet. A misdreavus was floating around Diamond, using phsychic powers to get the grunts. In minutes a large pile of red-clad humans lay at their feet. Out of breath, Amethyst hugged Diamond. "Glad to have you back."

"Amethyst!" Red said sharply. "What did I tell you about the game corner?! I was so worried, I-" Amethyst cut him off with a long, sloppy kiss. "Don't be worried," She smiled. "I can take care of me. You take care of me, though, too." She pulled his hat down, and kissed him again, heart pounding.

Amethyst turned to the rest of the group. Silver was averting her gaze, but she walked up to him anyway. "I was worried about you," He admitted. Amethyst hugged him. "I still hate you," She smiled, soaking in the warmth of his jacket. "I hate you too, rival." He smirked.

"Amethyst." Diamond said disapprovingly. "Go hug your real boyfriend." Amethyst and Silver both blushed, and s Amethyst aced back to Red but was stopped by Green.

"Amethyst, Lynn, Diamond, in honor of your bravery, Im taking you to Wingull Wave's and buying clothes! Because that is what you gals do nowadays, eh?" Green grinned. "Hahahahayesyesyesyesyesyesyesyesyessssss!!!!" Amethyst hugged him and ran out, closely followed by a lothargic Typhlosion by the name of Magma.

"Green! Should I get this gold one or this violet one?" Amethyst asked, a tee-shirt on either of her arms.

"Both," Green smiled at her. Amethyst giggled and put the clothes on the outstretched arms of Magma the Typhlosion, who rolled his eyes. Suddenly, Diamond and Lynn began fangirling uncontrollably. Diamond ran up to Amethyst, grabbing her hand and pulling her over. "Do you know who that is?!" She pointed to a photoshoot. Amethyst shook her head. "IT'S STEVEN. FREAKING. STONE, that's who." Diamond's hands were shaking. "EEEEEEEKK!!" Amethyst and Diamond squealed. Lynn was breathing quickly."WOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW!!!" She pulled Amethyst by the arm over to the photoshoot. Steven turned and met her gaze, powder blue eyes glimmering. But the moment didn't last long. Clumsy Lynn fell derpily after tripping on the bright red rope that parted stephen from all of the cameras. THE Steven took her hand and helped her up. Lynn blushed, redder than a Magikarp. Steven smiled before turning back to Diamond and Amethyst and hugging them. "Hello, fellow Champions Diamond and Amethyst. Good to see you, even if it is trespassing. I'm done anyway. He signaled to the camera crew and a couple of Arons, who carried away the cameras on their backs.

"I'm going up to the Cinema this afternoon to see Arons On The Loose. Want to come with?" Steven asked.

"YEEEEEESS!!!" Lynn answered for them. "We do!!!"

Amethyst nodded. "see you in two hours!!" She smiled, grabbing Diamond's arm and awkwardly dashing off.
