Double Journey Chapter 37

Amethyst and Diamond didn't spend a lot of time looking for their boyfriends. There was too much fun stuff to do! First, Amethyst dragged Diamond over to the Arcanine's Empire Roller Coaster, which was her favorite ride by far. It was a coaster that used real Growlithe fire that swooshed in at the most unexpected times. Then they were plummeted at a very high speed down a golden tunnel with a huge Arcanine Statue at the end. When the ride stopped, Amethyst was jumping for joy. "Diamond, did you see that statue?!"

"Yes." Diamond relented.

Next, they went to ride the bumper cars, where they met Green and Lynn. Diamond and Lynn got into a green bumper car, and Amethyst and Green got into a blue one. When the whistle blew, Green thruster the two forward into Diamond and Lynn, soaking Amethyst. She burst out laughing as the water dried right off.

They rode some other rides, Master Ball Mountain and the Tower of Treecko. Amethyst was flying high, and nothing was going to ruin that day.

The group met up(minus Red and Gold) at the snack bar, where Amethyst got some cotton candy and refused to share with anyone. As the group ate, Amethyst's mind strayed to Red and she wondered what he and Gold were doing. Just then, Gold appeared. "Okay everybody, we are gonna open Amethyst's presents now, so follow me."

She had presents?! Amethyst excitedly followed Gold.

When they Gold stopped, they were in a grassy meadow. Red had set up a little blanket that was covered in presents, and he beckoned Amethyst to sir. She did, and everyone sat around her. First, Lynn handed Amethyst her present, which was wrapped in Emerald green. Amethyst tore out the paper. Lynn had given her a pastel green, salmon pink, and turquoise striped collar and leash. "For Arcanine to wear at Lavaridge Pokemon Contest!" Lynn said. Amethyst smiled and hugged her. Next, Silver gave her a box of Pocky. She didn't want to hug him, so she just nodded happily. Gold gave her a Pokemon Care brush and food, along with some makeup for Arcanine to wear at the Contest. Krys gave her a stack of Fire Pokemon Books, and Green got her booty shorts and a How to Twerk manual. Amethyst laughed and hugged him. Bronze,

Harper, and Copper all got her a card that said "Happy Birthday".

Red turned Amethyst towards him. "Close your eyes and hold out your hands." He said. Amethyst did as she was told. She heard a little rustling sound, and then something soft was placed into her hands. When she opened her eyes, she saw a little Eevee.

"Her name is Valencia," Red informed her. Valencia looked up at Amethyst with purple eyes and nuzzled into her chest, falling asleep. "Red..." Amethyst's voice was almost a whisper as he handed her Valencia's poke ball. "Nothing could compare to this. She's gorgeous." Amethyst hugged Valencia.

"Don't be too sure," Diamond said, and handed her her own gift.

"A Mudkip!!!" Amethyst squealed, though it didn't wake Valencia, who must be a heavy sleeper. Amethyst took in the little blue Pokemon quickly. It bounced onto her shoulder. "Kip, Kip!" Mudkip cried. "His name is Kippers!" Diamond said excitedly.

Kippers ran down Amethyst's other shoulder and woke the Eevee in her arms. Valencia growled before chasing after him.

Amethyst called the crazy Mudkip into its Pokeball, and clipped it onto her belt. She put Valencia in her backpack, where she could sleep without disturbance. "Thank you!" She hugged Diamond and Red. "This has been the best day ever!"
