Double Journey (Pokemon Fanfic)

Double Journey Chapter 9

Amethyst stared right into Salamence's eyes. "Salamence, do you want to come on my journey with me?" She asked him.

He let out a roar, saying yes. His eyes sparkled with the need to prove himself as he stared at her.

Amethyst broke out into a smile. "Salamence, I'd like you to come into a Pokéball." She held out a luxury ball. Salamence shook his head.

"No?" She asked.

Salamence shook his head again.

"Not right now?"

He nodded, letting out a happy cry. Amethyst looked over at Aggron, who was now Diamond's pokemon. They were basically inseparable.

She hugged Salamence and told Magma to go play with Blaziken. Magma nodded and raced off. Then Amethyst jumped into Salamence's back.

They were on the pool deck, about to fly besides the ship. Each time she got a new pokemon they had to have one on one bonding time with her so that their friendship would be strong.

"Okay Salamence, go!" They launched off of the side of the ship. Salamence plummeted straight down to the water, and pulled up just in time. On the deck, the rest of Amethyst's friends cheered. Salamence flew staight up. "Corkscrew and then do dragon rage with your head pointed towards the water." Amethyst commanded. Salamence began to spin, and Amethyst held on for dear life. Then Salamence used dragon rage. The blue energy spiraled around trainer and pokemon, and the next thing they knew, they were back on deck.

Amethyst collapsed dizzily, and Salamence did the same next to her. Magma came over to sit by her. This was training for Amethyst.

"Attention all passengers, we have arrived in Dewford town!" The overcom blared. They all rushed off of the ship, Amethyst putting Salamence into the Luxury Ball and heading off the ship. Wow! Dewford town was gorgeous! Looked like there was a beach there... She'd have to buy a swimsuit. She looked over and saw Gold and Diamond smiling at eachother and suppressed a laugh. They were an adorable couple.

After getting checked in at the nearest Pokemon Center, Amethyst and Diamond headed down to the gym. The gym leaders name was Brawly, and as you could guess, he used the fighting type. "Do we have to battle first thing in the city?" Lyra muttered. "Yes, of course we do." Silver stated, glancing at Amethyst, who was walking slowly over to a long haired teen in the center of the gym. It must be Brawly. Everything about him screamed that he could beat you so quickly you wouldn't even have time to react. This was the challenge Amethyst loved. The heat of the battle was what made her champion!

No words were spoken between challenger and opponent. Violet and Blue eyes locked as they each pulled out their first Pokéball. "I challenge you to a battle."

Amethyst stated, her eyes sparking.

Brawly nodded. "I'll swamp you!" He said.

"Just try!" Amethyst called. Magma let out a roar, as he leapt onto the field snarling.

Brawly sent out a tan pokemon she had never seen before. She pulled out her pokedex, which classified the pokemon as Makuhita.

"Makuhita, Seismic Toss!" Brawly shouted. Makuhita leapt toward Magma.

"Giga Impact!" Amethyst called out the attack. Magma rammed into Makuhita, sending it flying back and slamming into the wall of the gym. The pokemon slid down the wall and landed on its feet angrily, brushing off dust. Brawly grinned. "Makuhita, Rock Slide!" He yelled. Rocks came Down at an alarming pace toward Magma. "Magma, rock smash!" She shouted. Magma smashed the rocks in midair, he sent the last rock flying at Makuhita, who went flying back. He had fainted. Magma let out a triumphant roar. Brawly returned Makuhita. "Go, Machoke!" He threw Machoke out. Amethyst was familiar with this Pokemon.

"Magma, get back! Let's go, Salamence!" She threw out Salamence's Pokéball. Salamence let out a roar, lashing its tail and flapping its wings.

"Salamence, fly up!" She called. Salamence flew into the air.

"Machoke, rollout!" Brawly called. Machoke came towards Salamence fast, slamming into it and sending it to the ground.

"Salamence, balance yourself and corkscrew back upwards with a dragon pulse!"

Salamence recovered in the air, slamming Machoke with its tail and flying upwards. Dragon Pulse scored a direct hit, and Machoke slammed to the ground, winded.

"Salamence,

Draco Meteor!" Salamence sent Meteors down towards the ground. Each slammed into Machoke, and it fainted. Salamence touched down to the ground.
