Double Journey Chapter 35

After everyone got back, most of them went to bed. Amethyst tried, but she was restless. Magma was as well. He couldn't get situated in bed, and he ended up throwing the covers off, so

Arcanine had to lay on top of Amethyst for warmth. She sighed and whispered, "This won't work."

She got up, Arcanine shifting off

. of her, and changed into a dark gray tank top with her zodiac sign, Pisces, on it in purple. She put on some short blue jean shorts, combat boots, and two thick black armbands, one on each wrist, and headed out the door, Magma and Arcanine following. "Remember the contest in Lavaridge? We're going to train for that, Arcanine. I'm entering you in the tough competition."

It was February 28th. Amethyst felt like something special should happen today, but she didn't know why.

"Lavaridge Town!" Harper said excitedly. "I visited when I was a kid!"

Krys smiled. "I'd like to research the hot springs there, and catch the native Pokemon!"

As Amethyst zipped up her blue sparkly back back, still in her training outfit from last night, she added her own comment. "I heard they have an amusement park there called Castform Park!" She said in excitement, as Magma nuzzled her elbow impatiently. Just then a breathless Diamond entered...and behind her was Blaziken!! Magma bowled into his bestfriend, and they wrestled around the room. Arcanine, however, helped Amethyst fold all of her clothes, get together her hair and tooth brushes, and get all of her shoes, and shove it all into her backpack. Amethyst hugged him tight in gratitude, and he licked her cheek.

Suddenly Amethyst's vision went black as cloth wrapped around her head. "Hey--what?!" She exclaimed.

"It's a surprise, AA! Happy Birthday!!"She heard Green say.

Oh yeah. It was her Birthday! With all the traveling, she had forgot.

And then they set off to Lavaridge Town, Green leading Amethyst by the hand.

"What, I can't even open my eyes for the Pokemon Center?!" Amethyst wailed desperately as they checked in and went back outside. The heat of Lavaridge coursed over her, and she heard the hot springs running over rocks. "nope," Red said. Finally they stopped at their destination and the blindfold was cut off of her. Castform Park!

"Oh wow!!!" Amethyst grabbed Red's arm as Arcanine, Magma and Blaziken raced off. She let out her other Pokemon. Nidoking, Salamence, Latios... They all followed after Arcanine, Magma and Blaziken.

Amethyst couldn't wait to begin.
