Double Journey Chapter 36

Amethyst and Red got a pomegranate from the snack bar. "It's the fruit of love!" Amethyst giggled. They set off to the Ferris wheel, where they met Diamond and Gold. Behind them was Silver and Harper. Each of the couples was in a separate Ferris Wheel Car when they got on, and then the wheel started moving. Red split the pomegranate into two, and they sat there happily eating, with her in his lap. After they had finished with the fruit, Red launched into an explanation.

"This is the tallest structure in the world. People flock to Castform Park every day just to be on this ride. It's almost as though you can see the Pokemon League when you're at the top." He said.

"We'll see it soon enough, babe." Amethyst said. "We'll win the league. I'm sure of it." She got up off of his lap to stretch her legs, then sat on the floor and looked through the glass floor to the car below them, which held Silver and Harper.

It looked like Harper had been hit by a bus. She was crying, and it looked as though she was screaming at the top of her lungs. Silver was... Laughing? For the first time in her life, Amethyst felt bad for Harper. "Red... Red, It looks like Silver broke up with Harper. He's....laughing at her..." She walked back over to him and buried herself in his chest.

"Amethyst...don't worry. I'll never do that to you. Ever." Red comforted her, just as the ride was coming to a halt. The two got off of the ride and waited for the others. When Diamond got off of the ride, she took Amethyst by the arm. "C'mon, we're gonna ride the Doom of Darkrai coaster!" She pulled Amethyst after her so they could get in line for the roller coaster. Harper's agony over the break up must've been short lived, because she, Copper, and Lynn were behind them. As the coaster before them set off, Amethyst and Diamond realized that they would be on the first car.

"Best seats ever!!" They fist bumped. As they got on their car, Lynn headed to the back and sat there, screaming, even though the ride hadn't even started. In the car behind Diamond and Amethyst sat Copper and Harper.

Amethyst and Diamond were talking just as the car began to move. "Yeeeess!" Amethyst yelled. The coaster slowly ascended, until they were above the clouds and it was pitch dark. Then they were shot down,

down,

down and into a dark tunnel lit by purple flames. Amethyst's screams bounced off of the brick walls of the tunnel, and then they were thrown back up into a loop. They darted a hill and then came to a huge loop, taller than the first ascension. As they were moving up the loop like Durants into their mound, they came to an abrupt stop at the top of the loop, hanging upside down. Amethyst and Diamond exchanged a look. Suddenly Amethyst heard a retching sound behind them. It was Copper. Amethyst noticed vomit heading down to the ground and started laughing hysterically as the car started moving again, towards the ground and then stopping at the end point. Amethyst was still laughing when she got off of the ride, and went to tell Red all about it. Except he and Gold were nowhere in sight.
