Double Journey Chapter 42

Amethyst turned back to Red. His mouth was open in shock. "I-I didn't mean what I said!!! I'm so sorry!!!" Red was crying now. "I don't know what came over me, take me back, take me back!!"

"No." Amethyst snarled, calling back Arcanine. She looked over at Diamond. "Let's go." Diamond said. "We're going back. We'll find SOMEWHERE that will take us. Anywhere is better without you." Amethyst added. "If you're coming with us, come now." She said to the rest of the group.

Lynn, Green, Lyra, Opal, and Krys stepped forward.

"Sorry," said Lynn. "I don't hang around with assholes."

It seemed that word had gotten round about the Champs blowing up a Pokémon center. Nowhere would take them!! So they left Verdanturf, where they had been asking around. And headed to Lavaridge again. Finding the Lavaridge Hotel was no trouble at all, and people there were crazy about the two champions. Amethyst must've taken a thousand photos with fans, and signed even more posters.

The hotel lobby was gorgeous. A bridge with a pond underneath flowed with water types. There were so many restaurants it made Amethyst woozy. A huge chandelier fell into place in the middle of the beautifully painted ceiling. Posters of Amethyst and Diamond were a normal sight. And this was just the lobby!

The nice receptionist immediately gave them a master suite, handing over the keys with a smile. The group ascended the glass stairs to their room, and sliced the key through the door of room 413. A king sized bed was in each of two corners. Their room had no walls. Where the walls should be glass was housing a huge aquarium, filled with every water type you could wish to see, even Relicanth! The carpet was soft, and the bathroom was perfect. Amethyst could feel herself sinking right in.

"Wow, okay. I feel free." Amethyst sighed in content, flopping down on one of the two king sized beds in their master Suite.

"I wish all these fish..." Lynn looked around. "Could just have a taste of fun dip. Then they wouldn't frown. They would be happy fish, like me." She went on and on.

Amethyst and Diamond danced across the carpet and to the beautiful balcony. A swing hung from the balcony above theirs, and they jumped on it and took turns swinging eachother and laughing and feeling the night's cool air on their faces.

"I should probably tell you why I'm feeling so... Free!" Diamond said.

"Me too." Said Amethyst. They simultaneously burst out--

"I broke up with him!!!"

They both squealed.

"Wait--what??" Amethyst said, surprised.

"Wow, we really are free now!"
