Double Journey Chapter 51

"This is an architectural beauty!" Green clasped his hands together with a smile and sparkling eyes.

"Sure is." Lynn rolled her eyes, taking his hand.

The group was in Sootopolis City, at the eighth gym. It had taken almost four weeks of traveling and battling gym leaders and trainers, but they were finally there.

As the rest of the admired Sootopolis Gym, Amethyst was reading the sign to learn the type, and feeling highly discouraged.

It was a water type gym, so Arcanine and Magma would not have the advantage. She looked over to Kippers, who was now a fully grown Swampert. He was out of his Pokéball for surf, and he didn't want to go back in, messing with Magma(who hated him) was quite a lot of fun.

He let out a grunt, staring at her and rubbing his tail against her side. She smiled and patted his back, remembering his evolutions.

"Augh! Kippers! Quick! Bubble!" Amethyst yelled. The impact from a Seviper's tail had knocked the Mudkip into her. He dropped to the ground, getting ready to fire a bubble, and was hit by another poison tail and knocked into a rock.

"No!" Amethyst screamed. She was about to call him back but he began to glow with an extreme white light.

When the light cleared, there stood a Marshtomp. He didn't even wait for an order~ he sprung to Seviper, grabbed his neck, and fired a mud bomb right into his face, making him faint.

A week later, Amethyst was facing off against Petalburg City's Norman.

"Go! Use Arm Thrust on Slaking!" Amethyst shouted angrily. Marshtomp obliged, and ran to get Slaking. Slaking knocked him out of the way but he rebounded and smashed into him, making him faint and shrouding the area in bright light as he evolved...

She snapped back into focus, staring at the green grass beneath her feet. Swampert's tail was twitching. Pokemon raced through the woods, going the opposite direction from them, and suddenly her eyes snapped shut and opened again and she was in a whole new place in a whole new time.

She was immediately familiar with her surroundings. She knew she was having a vision right away, because she recognized the familiar setting from the numerous visions she'd been having for weeks.

The vision was short. Rayquaza was in front of her.

"It's time." his growl rumbled through every organ of her body. Amethyst knew exactly what he was talking about and She was scared.

It really was time. Diamond and Amethyst stood together on an observation deck across the top of the gym. It lay on a cliff, and from thereAmethyst and the rest of the group could see thousands of Aqua and Magma grunts. This was the big fight.

Suddenly an earthquake trembled the group. Groudon and Kyogre rose from the vicious waters, immediately fighting eachother. There was no way Amethyst and Diamond could fight them alone!

As Diamond and the group leapt into battle, Amethyst stood on the highest point of the cliff, Magma beside her and all of her Pokémon out. Gold, Red and the other half of the group had arrived, fighting for team Aqua. She had seen everyone fight but Red, and couldn't help but wonder where he was. Suddenly a strong electric shock paralyzed her and she fell to the ground. It was Red and Pikachu!

"I can't let you get hurt," Red stated.

"G-Go fight..." She told her Pokémon weakly. They obeyed. Red absconded.

Amethyst felt like hope was lost. How would her Pokémon make it? Especially Valencia...she was just a baby.

Amethyst looked up at the sky, praying for some help. Anyone would work. Anyone!

Her prayers were answered. It was Rayquaza! In the flesh!

"I am yours to command, Blackthorn." His voice rang in her mind. "Save my Pokémon... Don't let them get hurt..." She wailed. Rayquaza snaked into battle as Amethyst's vision faded.

She awoke a few minutes later to Diamond sitting over her, shaking her. Finally, she could move again. Diamond looked terrified. Beside her was a beautiful Umbreon, who nuzzled Amethyst and helped her up.

"V...Valencia?" She asked. The Umbreon nodded. She was the only pokemon left around who Amethyst could command, but Diamond stopped her from going into battle.

"It's over." Diamond said. " we won, you saved us with Rayquaza! I didn't know you could command him!" She trailed off.

"What. Diamond what happened. My pokemon. Where are they."

Diamond gulped, just as Steven Stone walked up the steps, carrying three Pokéballs.

Only three!? Amethyst thought. She knew those were her pokéballs. She just knew it.

"Latios is gone..." Diamond said, as she pulled another pokéball out of her bag and let out a wet shivering Typhlosion. Amethyst held her breath. He was traumatized.

Tears rolled down her cheeks. They had won, but at what price?

Steven walked up and handed her the Pokémon. He draped a violet sash across her shoulders, and a teal one across Diamond's. They both read, "Heroine of Hoenn."

"Diamond and Amethyst, you have saved all of Hoenn from a terrible fate. Magma was traumatized, as he dealt the final blow to Kyogre. Suicune was smashed." Diamond held her breath and choked back a sob. "But we have won! You have beat down terrible foes and for that we thank you! I, Steven Stone, dub thee Heroines of Hoenn!"

People, Pokémon, everyone below began to cheer and chant their names. Was it really over? A rainbow spread across the sky as Valencia, Diamond and Amethyst embraced. Maybe this journey was a storm, but finding who their true friends were was the rainbow.

Hey everyone, it's AmethystArcanine! Jeez, I am so sorry about how bad these books sucked and how the plot took thirty chapters to come into play. It started out as a distraction and then it became...an even bigger distraction. BUT HAVE NO FEAR! We are writing a sequel, same chars of course, and it is SO MUCH BETTER. DiamondBlaziken and I have spent 6 months planning it, and I swear it is so much better. Just remember, the prologue starts the book. PLEASE READ IT. This has been a good experience, my first book. It was sorta fun to write at times I guess, but I know it sucked. Bad. Anyways, this has been Double Journey.
