"I hated it when you were dead." Silver muttered quietly, so not to wake Harper.

"Shut up. You're lying." Amethyst choked out, flipping over and snuggling into Magma's fur. At the foot of her bed, Arcanine sat protectively. He turned and got under the covers with her and snuggled up.

Just then Amethyst heard Harper wake up. "S-Silver?" she yawned. "I'm going on a walk."

"Be careful," he whispered. Amethyst felt her fist clench. She got up and walked to the bathroom, ripping the necklace off of her neck and setting it on the counter.

Shut up, you're lying. Those words seemed familiar to Amethyst as she looked at herself in the mirror. And then a flashback happened.

"Haha, wow." Amethyst joked as she punched Lance in the shoulder.

"What, it's true?" The flame haired dragon master said. "Silver doesn't respect anyone."

"Yes, he does! I bet something happened to him in the past. That's why he's like this."

"No, you're wrong. He only wants to use Pokemon for brutal battles! How can you say something like that!" Lance said to her.

"Lance..."

"Oh Amethyst...I'm sorry. But look, he had his Feraligatr bite me." He pulled up part of his cape to reveal teeth marks.

"Shut up, you're lying. Those are Dragonite's teeth marks." Dragonite bit Lance...? But dragon types loved him! they were probably playing or something.

"Huuuggh. You got me. Dragonite is a little jerk and he oughta be whipped-"

"Lance! Shut up! That's terrible!! How could you--"

"Amethyst, I don't give two Pidgey craps about my Pokemon!!! It's funny how I preach Silver to you when I'm just the same." Looked like Lance had snapped.

Amethyst's eyes widened. She looked behind her to see Magma in attack mode. He had never liked the Dragon Master. Blinking away tears, Amethyst turned tail and ran.

Amethyst gasped as she was pulled back into reality. Tears were rushing down her face faster than ice on a wooden table. She ran out of the room, Arcanine jumped out of bed and followed. Magma was asleep. Just incase she took Salamence's Pokéball.

Amethyst raced down the hallway, Arcanine chasing after her. The trainer and her Pokemon took the elevator to the cruise balcony. Breathing in the fresh air, she came up to the rails. Amethyst loved the sea.

"Beautiful, isn't it?" A girl said dreamily. Amethyst turned to see a girl with black, wavy hair and tanned skin. She was wearing a forest green tanktop, jean vest, and jean shorts.

"I'm Lynn." She said, walking up. "And judging by those whip marks almost hidden by your Arcanine's fur, and your scars, I can see you've had a run in with Team Magma."

"I can say you're right. The name's Amethyst." Amethyst smiled. She could tell Lynn was a nice girl by the way her emerald green eyes stared into her violet ones.

"You see," Lynn said. "I close my eyes every night and dream. I dream of a world where Team Aqua and Magma never fought, just experienced everything they'd ever done to any Pokemon or person alike. I envision a world where the legendary Pokemon of Hoenn won't have to strain themselves to stop the oncoming train of evil. These Pokemon should have their own space to rule! And protect their rights!" Lynn's wrists shook as she stroked Arcanine.

"You know, unlike those Magma and Aqua grunts, you're talking sense. And how do you plan on acheiving your dream?" Amethyst asked curiously.

Lynn smiled. "Looks like I've found myself a partner. I plan on forming Team Ozone, a team of dedicated and loving trainers whose sole purpose is to capture Rayquaza and befriend it, and let it lend us its powers to calm the fighting of Team Magma and Team Aqua!"

Amethyst glanced at Arcanine's eye, cloudy blue with a scratch over it, making him blind.

"I hate Team Magma for what they did to my Pokemon. I'll help you form your group. I'll do whatever it takes to keep Pokemon and people safe from their clutches!"
