Chapter 47: Family Bonding

Kieth's POV,

"Kuya, I want some milk."

Sabi ni Matt at umupo sa dining table. Tumayo naman ako para kumuha ng gatas sa fridge.

Kakagising niya lang at siyempre tinanghali dahil nagbukas pa siya ng gifts.

Bumalik ako at binigay sa kanya yung gatas at umupo ulit sa table.

"Kuya, can ate Raine live here too?"

Nabigla ako sa tanong niya kaya tinignan ko siya at seryoso naman yung mukha niya.

"Why?"

"Coz she's my second mom now and I want you both to take care of me."

Paliwanag niya at mukhang seryoso talaga siya.

"Matt, she can't live here coz she has a house. And mom will be upset if she'll know that you have a replacement of her."

Nagpout naman siya sa sinabi ko. Seems like gusto niya talaga si Raine.

I understand what he feels coz I grow up alone and minsan lang din umuuwi si mommy pero saglit lang.

"But she can come here."

Napangiti naman siya sa sinabi ko.

"Can you call her?"

"Sure."

I pick up my phone and dialled her number.

Hindi niya sinagot yung tawag ko.

Napatingin ako kay Matt at naghihintay lang siya.

'Siguro tulo-laway pa yung babaeng yun. Hindi ko naman pwedeng iwan si Matt.'

Di-niall ko ulit yung number niya at nagring.

Again she didn't pick up the phone. I put my phone on the table.

"Maybe she's still asleep."

"Then let's come to her house."

Nakangiting suhestiyon niya.

Hindi ko naman matanggihan si Matt kasi exited siya.

"Okay."

I said at lumabas na kami ng bahay sakay ang kotse.

Lumabas na ako ng kotse ng makarating na kami sa bahay niya at kinuha ko naman si Matt sa kabilang seat.

Nagdoorbell ng ilang beses pero hindi niya pa rin binubuksan.
