I stood there holding Aleena while she cried her silent tears. I couldn't say anything; I didn't know what to say. Every time I tried to say it would be okay, she would flip out and say no. So, I just held her, rubbing her back and kissing the top of her head.
When the tears had subsided to sniffles, Leah and Quil ran in. They looked around, saw me holding Aleena, and stopped.
"Where is everybody?" Quil asked.
Before I could answer, Aleena spoke up.
"Who are you?" she asked. Quil blinked.
"Uh, I'm Quil Ateara."
"Oh." She stepped away from me. "You want to know where everyone is?" he nodded. "They're calling all their friends because the whole damn Volturi is freaking coming!" she shook.
I put my hand on her shoulder and she shrugged it off.
"Lee," I started. When she turned around I gasped. Her hazel eyes were now red. Blood red.
"What?" she asked. "What is it?" she turned and looked at Leah and Quil. "What the hell is going on?" she yelled when they gasped and stepped back.
"What's with all the yelling?" Alice asked as she walked in. She stopped when she saw Aleena, dropping her phone. "Carlisle!" she said, walking towards Aleena.
Carlisle entered on the opposite side of the room. "What—" Alice turned Aleena around, showing Carlisle her eyes.
His eyes widened as he gasped. Esme walked in. When she noticed Aleena's eyes, she started walking to her, but Carlisle held her back. She looked at him with questions in her eyes.
"Carlisle, let me go." She said.
"No, Esme." She crossed her arms.
"Why not?"
"Look at her!" he pointed. I saw Aleena tense. "We don't know what is going on!" he was about to say something else when Aleena doubled over in pain.
"Aleena?" Alice asked, crouching over her. She just cried out in pain. "Seth, help me get her upstairs to a bed. Carlisle, we need your help."
I picked her up, and gasped. "Alice," I said, "she's not cold. She's my temperature." I heard Leah and Quil gasp. I turned to face them. "Leah, Quil, go tell Sam that the Volturi are coming. We're going to need all the wolves for this." They nodded and ran off, phasing as they went.

I walked up the stairs as quickly as I could without jostling Aleena. I followed Alice into a room that looked like a patient's room at a hospital. Must be from when Bella was pregnant. I thought.
"It is." Aleena gasped. "Now, stop thinking and do something!" She was still holding her stomach in pain. Her face was contorted in a grimace of pain. I wanted to do something for her so bad, but I didn't know what I could do.
"Seth, lay her on the bed." Carlisle said, his doctor side taking over.
I hurriedly laid her on the bed. Carlisle immediately set to work, drawing blood and inserting IVs. Her hands were clenched in fists.
"Carlisle, why is she my temperature? Earlier, she was her normal temperature, and now she's almost burning up."
"I'm not sure, Seth." He said.
I clenched my teeth.
"Seth, just…GO!" Aleena said.
"What?"
"Just…go. I know…you're worried. Go…run…patrols, or something. Get your mind off of this."
I walked over to her. I kissed her forehead. "I love you." I whispered.
"Love…you, too." She whispered through clenched teeth.
I turned and left.
