I was almost asleep when I heard Alice gasp.

"What is it?" I heard Edward.

It was silent as he read Alice's mind.

"Seth." He growled.

After a few more seconds, he said, "Why can't you?"

Alice sighed. "Her future is still tied with…his." She spat.

"Hmm." It was silent once again. "I can't. She still has some of our gifts."

"What?" Alice hissed.

"Do you never pay attention?" Edward chuckled lightly. "Eleazer said it would be gradual."

"Oh. I forgot."

"You? Forget something? Highly unlikely."

"I've been distracted lately, Edward. Not being able to see the future at all, it's…it makes me feel unbalanced, off-center, you know? Like how you felt when you first met Bella."

Edward inhaled deeply. "I know." He said, his voice slightly strained.

There was a knock on the door.

"Yes, Emmett?" Alice said.

"Carlisle called; he got a hold of Aro."

"And?" Alice asked.

"He said he'd come, but not completely alone. He said he'll bring one or two with him."

"Probably Jane and Heidi." Edward said tightly.

"Most likely." Alice said. "Thanks, Emmett."

"No problem." I heard him thunder away.

"Should we tell her?" Edward asked when Emmett was heard talking to Rosalie.

"I don't know. We should probably let Seth tell her."

Let Seth tell me what? I thought before drifting off to sleep.
