Chapter Eighty Six ~Seth~

Aleena walked to the living room, her long hair brushing her back.

"Sooo…" Max asked, moving to stand beside me.

I looked at her, an eyebrow raised.

She rolled her eyes. "When are you gonna ask?" she said.

"Yeah." Matt said, crossing his arms and leaning on the counter.

I sighed, rolling my eyes. "I don't know yet."

"Well, do you have a general idea?" Alison asked.

"Nope." I shook my head. "Wait. How do you three know?"

"Mom and Dad told me." Alison said. "I don't know how they know."

"I'm just a beast like that." Max said with a serious look on her face.

"She tells me everything." Matt said, pointing at Max, and then himself.

"Can anybody keep a secret around here?"

Max shook her head slowly, making a face. "Not really."

I rolled my eyes and shook my head.

"What secret?" Aleena asked, walking back in from the living room.

"Uh…" I searched for an excuse.

"Of what Seth got you for graduation." Max said coolly.

"Oh." She looked at me. "What'd you get me?"

"This." I pulled the necklace out of my pants pocket.

"Oh, Seth. It's gorgeous!"

The necklace had a silver chain with a clear heart dangling from it. Inside the heart was a wolf.

"I love it!" she said as she turned around and swept her hair out of the way.

"Thanks." I said as I fastened the necklace in place.

She turned back around to face me.

Wrapping her arms around my neck, she smiled and hugged me.

"Aleena!" Alice called.

Aleena sighed heavily.

"Back to hostess duties." I said, squeezing her tight for a second.

She gave me a peck on the lips. "Come with." She said, smiling. She grabbed my hand with hers and dragged me into the living room.

"Hey, Em. Hey, Leah." I said to the two.

"Leah, your dress is so pretty!" Aleena exclaimed after giving her a quick hug. 

Leah smiled sheepishly.

"Thanks." She said. "Esme picked it out for me. I don't own any dresses."

"Well, we'll just have to change that, won't we?" Aleena smiled. "Oh!" she said. "I want you two to meet my best friend and her cousin!" she gave me a quick hug and ran off to get Max and Matt.
