I struggled against Emmett, Rosalie, and Esme as they kept me back from Aleena.
"Aleena!" I yelled. "I'm right here!"
All she did was scream in pain.
"Agh!" I turned to my ex-alpha. "Do something!"
Sam just shook his head. "She chose to do this. It's the only way to keep the Volturi out of Forks, Seth. I'm sorry. There's nothing I can do."
I glared at him until Aleena cried out again. I started breathing heavily. I held my head in my hands, trying to block out her screams.
Finally, I couldn't take it anymore.
"I'm sorry, Aleena." I walked out of the room, and phased.
I ran and ran, letting my wolf side take over for just a little while.
