Walking, walking, walking. . . Isn't there anything better than all this? I walked around the rocky terrain of the lava rocks pacing myself trying to pass time, for what reason? I do not know. Lighting was hard to come by when there is no light other than the soft burning light from the lava that slowly poured from the heat of the rocks. I sit down and heaved a sigh to myself, what am I doing? I got up and waved my cape a little as it turned back to wings, I stretched them out and I felt like I'm ready, though not sure for what. I folded my wings back together to cloth and crossed my arms thinking. Might as well draw. . .

I walk up to the wall and I grabbed a piece of charcoal, it burned to the touch, but I ignored that, shadows were made to suffer. I pressed the rock onto the wall and spread it's mark around. It was hard to see, but I tried making a circle with lines coming out of it. I knew that this wouldn't exist in the underworld. I dropped the charcoal in disappointment. I looked down and I was shocked for a second, but then calmed down. Ash, this was nothing. Then I became curious, I stuck my hand in it, good thing shadows heal from burns significantly, and smeared it over my hand, i put a finger on the wall and drew a line. It shows perfectly! Excitement jumps within me as if my heart soared to my throat and I thought what I should draw. I drew little curves, then linked them together with more curves, I colored it and I finished it.

A white puff next to a black circle with black lines around it. Like what the legend said about the outside world, what was it called again? Stars? No. I forgot. Then I realized, I was happy. I managed a smile, then covered it, so this is what it feels like. . .

I walked to the place where there were more others like me. The place was populated, some were quiet, some were loud, and most make up their own gangs and beat up other shadows. I walked to the weaponry and held the door out to another person. He just grumbled and passed through hitting my shoulder as he went. I frowned and continued. Shadows are so mean.

I went in as well as some other shadow soldiers, they all grabbed their weapons just for preparations. I had a different sword than the rest, maybe because they think I'm weak. Instead of the underworld standard obsidian rock and flint, I got regular white metal, and it was mixed with a crossbow by the handle up. I was never proud of weapons, but I should be, this was a one of a kind. I checked the arrow supply and sharpness, I also sharpened the sword just because.

As I walked out the floor shook, angels. They flew in every direction, their bright white colors darting around the caves of the underworld shooting arrows at us. I stared in horror as everyone ran for their lives and I hear the angels cackling as each shadow was being shot down and killed into black dust. I continued running, an angel held a rifle and fired. Glad I ducked. Guns were the new weapons recently to both of us, they don't do as much damage, but they are fast and will slow you down, and they don't kill as easily. Arrows are what makes death and suffering far worse, but the speed and fast production of the bullet makes up for it. I continued running, my legs aching from all of it. I see the portal as it swirled a purple, red, orange and green.

I just want to get the heck out of here. That is until a brute shadow blocked the path. "No one leaves, especially shadows!"
"But we can! This is a way to live!" I pleaded.
"Spoken like a true coward, shadows are meant to suffer, fight, and kill!" He brought out a giant obsidian spear from behind and charged forward. I barely avoided it, but then he brushed me aside. "Ha! You weakling!" He charged again, but then he stopped. His head was gone. Black dust poured from where the head would be and collapsed exploding into smoke. I panted hard and remembered the portal. I quickly ran. An angel came behind me, but I panicked too much that I just jumped through.

Time felt like it didn't exist when I got out of it and I was falling from the sky. I put effort to getting my wings, my cape shifts and I glided with the speed and landed on a tree then fell to the floor. I stopped to catch my breath only to realize I am now hyperventilating. Angels were soaring in the sky. A lot of shadows came out and fought back. Shadows exploded and angels fell. An angel fell near me and his face was slashed with silver blood. He saw me and raised a bloodied hand. I reached for him and he slid his hand down my cheek, and passed. His body glowed and glowing specks flew in the air. I looked up in awe, and realized that I was holding my breath. I've got to get out of here! I run faster and faster.

I made it to a cliff and panted hard. The darkness soon evaded the coming of a bright light. I felt a wetness on my face, silver blood. Strange, it was supposed to float away, why is it on me? I rub the blood away and stared at the strange light. The legend said something about this, what was it again?

Oh, that's right! The sun.
