Never Ends

"Let's go," Rade said.
It's been a few days and Rade didn't want to waste anymore time. He got up in the middle of the day and we continued on our way.
"Rade, shouldn't you rest a little more?" I asked.
"It's fine, Fang. It's fine," he assured as he continued to walk in a fast pace. "Word has spread that there are now more attacks going back to back.
"That means-"
"Another battle."
"Battle?" I questioned.
"Both the angels and shadows will go all out. A full on war. This happens every now and then. You may think there will be one winner in the end, but the closer one side gets to the other, the harder it is to maintain that placement. It never ends." Lan explained.
"Never ends. . ." I thought.
"It will end. The scion's power will be able to stop it," Rade said with confidence.
What if it doesn't? You would think the war would stop if there were ideas thrown at the war. Why would this one be any different? I swatted the negativity away and tried to think like Rade does. We are all scared, but we have to try.

~~~
We could not believe our eyes when we saw the next town. It was a disaster.
So much rubble, broken parts and bodies. Rade flew into the middle of the pile and began searching for survivors. The rest of us split up and did the same.
Nothing.
So this is what it's like. No, not even close.
The ground shook violently and we all fell as the ground continued to rumble. It soon stopped. I was scared.
"What was that?!" I exclaimed knowing that was no ordinary earthquake.
"They are bringing back titans. . ." Void realized his eyes wide with worry.
"Titans are commonly known to be as giants who can match up against gods. That is pretty much true."
"How big are they?" I asked.
"Wrong question. Not just their size, but they can squash this village like nothing," Rade said.
"I've heard the horrors of the titans from the elders of our village," Kika said, "soon I may experience and understand the horror they faced."
"Their size. . . The sky has no limit, but they can reach so high, higher than where angels risk flying from cold," Xane said.
"That high?" I wondered thinking about how high up planes flew. I felt goosebumps appear on my skin from the thought of it.
"Titans are a threat of the world itself. Then again, when it comes to this war, there is no holding back," Guardian said.
"When do you think they will begin their battle?" Lily asked.
"No. . . It's already started," Void said looking up at the dark sky as we saw the sky dotted with black and white coming towards one another on both sides.
~~~

"Should've said something sooner!" Xane said grabbing his sword and running forward.
"Xane, stop!" Void called out.
"Do you want to kill yourself?!" Kika exclaimed.
"Right, sorry."
"I am sorry to say, but I never would have predicted this to happen. . . All of you, you must leave. This will indefinitely cost your lives," I spoke out to everyone. Void got up and walked in front of me. He punched me.

"Why do you think we would do that?!" Void asked.
"Void, I don't want you to die-"
"Nobody wants everyone here to die! The reason why we are all still here is because we stuck together all this time! Do you think I would stop here? Never!"
"Void. . ."
"We've already gone this far," Fang sighed.
"Let's make history," Lan grinned.
"Time to show them what the Kitaka tribe is made of!" Kika cheered.
"Finally time to right my wrongs," Xane nodded.
"We can do this!" Caliber assured.
"Everything must end. If not, we'll force it," Lily said.
"Rade, you underestimate us. I understand losing a friend hurts, but this is for everyone."
I blinked and got up still with the stinging feeling from the punch on my cheek.
"Very well. . . Then once more! I ask for your aid!"

~~~
The ground broke open and two gigantic statues appeared from the ground and they moved slowly, yet each step shook the ground. Their heads reached the clouds. One is made of white stone representing angels while the other is made of black stone representing shadows.
"The scion should be able to help us. I'm sure she sensed that," Lily said.
We heard a roar unlike any other. We looked up at the sky where the clouds began to swirl and a dragon flew down from the heavens. It was as big as the two titans. The dragon was like a snake with wings and several arms. It's scales were golden and it was so noticeable to replace the sun. The dragon slithered downward as lightning struck the flying beings in the sky and flew around the titans attacking it by wrapping around and scratching as well as breathed fire every now and then.
"Now's our chance!" I shouted. We all ran forward to battle.
"What's the plan, Rade?" Fang asked in a pant.
"We have to take out those two titans first. I'm not sure how long the dragon will last."
"How do we destroy a titan?" Xane asked.
"Titans are made up of a power similar to angels and shadows, only it is condensed into one small area. My guess would be in the heart of it all," Guardian said.
"Great, let's do that!" I said.
"You're the only one with wings, what should we do?" Kika asked.
"Stay safe. Your time will come," I assured.
"You cannot take out the titans one at a time, then it will be hard to advance to the other titan when the opposite army advances," Guardian explained.
"Very well. Let's go, Void!"
"Right!" Void said. I grabbed his hands and I used my strength to take him up.
There were quite the number of soldiers in the air. I flew back and forth to avoid others as I got closer to the shadow titan. An angel aimed their strike at me. I freed one hand as Void and I both drew our weapons. Void blocked the sword swing and I spun around using our weight and my scythe slashed him. I made it to the statue and dropped off Void.
"Good luck Void," I said.
"You too, Rade," he replied. I flew off and decided to go higher than I need so I can avoid the war. I heard shrieks of metal. When I turned around, I was caught in a flying machine.
