Everyone walked away as rain started to fall. Within minutes rain was pouring. I was still kneeling on the floor where Syf disappeared trying to take it all in. The ground became muddy, but I didn't care. I felt a tap on the back and Caliber gave me the sword that was Syf's.
"Thank you, Caliber." Caliber looked almost as sad as I do.
"He was your brother?" He asked.
"Yes. . . before you came along, his love died. He went alone for revenge. I didn't know this would happen to him."
"I know what it is like to lose loved ones. . . My parents died in an explosion."
"Oh, I'm sorry. . ." I turned my attention to him.
"No, this is about Syf. . . who did he love?"
"I didn't know her too much, but she was an elf, a very kind elf. You can tell she is nice just greeting her. Her name is Flecin."
"She sounds very nice," Caliber smiled to himself.
"It would've been wonderful if those two got together. . . I would've been so happy for them."
". . . She died?" Caliber asked.
"Yes. Her staff broke so she couldn't protect anyone with her magic. Elves and shifters had a hard past. Lan and Flecin were about to get along until she was shot and killed."
"Oh. . ." Caliber sighed.
"It's okay, it's all in the past. Even so, we should remember them. For who they were, and what they've done," I said.
"Right. . ."
"Come on, let's go home. Let's take a bath together and I'll cook dinner."
"T-Together?!" Caliber's face blushed.
"Joking!" I giggled. I got up and looked at the black blade.
"Keeping it?"
"No, this is Syf's. I should leave it here to remember him,"
"Wouldn't someone steal it?"
"Maybe."
"I think Syf would've wanted you to use it."
"You think so?"
"He cared for you didn't he?"
"Of course."
"Then how I see it is that you keep it!" Caliber insisted.
I looked down at the blade. It's stained with a lot of blood. I thought about it and agreed.
"I suppose so," I carried the blade and the two of us walked back. I should right the wrongs with this blade, for Syf.

Rade, Kika and Xane rested as soon as they got back. Void just sat and watched the flames burning within the furnace.
"Hey, you should rest too," I said to him.
"I know. Give me a few more minutes," he said still looking at the dancing fire.
I decided to sit next to him near the fire as well. The nights around here are chilly.
"Hey, Fang. Do you think you'll ever go back home?"
"What do you mean?"
"I mean. . . you woke up in this world and just decided to fight alongside us, no questions asked. Don't you ever feel scared?" He asked looking at me.
"Of course I feel scared," I looked at my mechanical hand, "however, I felt as though that I was brought here for a reason. I shouldn't just panic and not do anything. Besides, this world is so beautiful!"
Void's eyes widened and he looked back at the fire and smiled.
"I felt the same way when I left the shadows. I knew there was something missing. When I then fought alongside Rade and the others, I knew that this must have been my missing purpose."
"Purpose. . ." I murmured to myself.
"Do you think you'll ever go back home?" Void asked again.
"I'm not sure to be honest," I said, "but. . . I have hope that I will."
"Hope. . ." Void murmured to himself.
We sat next to one another silently listening and watching the flames move back and forth as it cackles and eats the fuel given.

"You know you don't have to do that," I heard Lily call to me.
"Take a bath. There are towels and a set of your clothes here. There is a bathhouse in town," I said cutting the meat off the bone of the pheasant.
"Do you even know how to cook?" She asked.
"I've watched you do it many times. Why can't I?"
"Well. . . do you even know how to use a knife?"
"Yes. Self taught. I just never had one in a while," I explained simply.
"Right. . ." She doubted.
"Just take a bath."
"Wait. . . Where did you get these?" She asked after looking through the neat stack.
"Just happened to stumble upon them," I chuckled. I got smacked at the back of my head.
"You pervert!"
"Wha?"
"Did you not get my-"
"I found no such thing. I only found a top and bottom. Couldn't find the ladies' specials," I said seriously.
"Are you joking?"
I merely stared at her with a bored expression.
"Nevermind then. I'm off!"
"Take care," I sighed.
"You know how to cook?" Fang asked.
"Not really. However, Lily didn't either. I was her taste tester, and eventually I learned the spices and herbs needed for a 'decent' meal of hers."
"Wow, that's neat."
"Do you know how to cook?"
"Not really," he said looking at the knife.
"Here, I can teach you."
"Really?"
"I'm not the best teacher, but since I've taught you one thing, might as well learn something else."
"Sounds good!"
"Alright, please cut up that vegetable."
"Is that garlic?"
"It is in your world, but in this world it's quite large. If you can manage this, you can manage a regular garlic."
"I. . . got it!" He said, "how come this world knows so much about the other world?"
"Let's say in a way, we evolved from your world. Our world and yours are like sisters. They both are the same, but aged differently. Yours advances in technology whereas ours is magic."
"I see."
"That's why there are some things we need to know about your world, so we can learn your errors and we can do better. . . In a way, earth is like an experiment I suppose. Even so, it grew so much because of the mistakes. The best way to grow is through mistakes, maybe that's why earth grew so much."
"Isn't the war here a mistake?"
"Yes, but we haven't learned from it," I sighed. "Nevermind, let's just focus on making the best meal possible."
"On it!"
Maybe this world can heal one day and grow alongside earth. It may be a long time, but I await that day.
