A Changed Man (A Loki fan fiction)

Danielle's POV

I was walking around the palace aimlessly when I saw Loki's mother come down the corridor. Okay too late to turn back.

Turn?! Since when are you worried about what women think of you!?

I smiled and kept walking and she walked on, right by me. Meh, fine by me, but that was weird! I kept walking and I saw Thor. I smiled at him, but he ignored and walked by me too. The Warriors Three and SIf, same story.

Man, what did i do!?

"Why is everyone simply walking by me without even saying hello!?" I asked Loki when I saw him. He just walked past me!!

Heimdall.....

I took one of Loki's horses and made my way across the bridge to him.

"Your father looks for you, Danielle." he told me. Finally!

"Why is everyone ignoring me?"

"Oh, they arent ignoring you. This is a time they listen."

"To what?"

"They're gods, Danielle. What do you suppose they listen to?"

I felt stupid. "Yeah okay.... when do they come out of this trance!?"

I saw the disaproval of Heimdall for the use of "Trance", but he just said he didnt know, so i took his leave.

"Danielle.... I did tell you your father is looking for you."

I turned back. "What is he doing!?"

"He somewhat knows you are here." he frowned. "You should have told him."

"I didn't want him to be put in harms way!"

"That's not the reason, and you know it."

I was about to raise my voice to protest, but thought the better of it and shut up. Hiemdall gave me the you-can-go look, so i left.

"Where have you been!?" Loki was standing at the door to his chambers.

"Just out...." i shrugged. "What's the plan for today?"

"Why must everyday have a plan?" he narrowed his eyes at me. "Why can't you take things as they come?"

"It just goes properly if you know what to do."

"Does it always go as expected?"

He had a point. He smiled. "Exactly."

He sat down beside me and took my hands in his.

"Danielle...." he looked like he was about to settle into a long conversation. Atelast I could hear that beautiful, nearly hynotising voice.  "... I cant say we got along from the very start, but you did help me through so much...." he pulled me closer and kissed me. I was jumping and doing cartwheels inside. "Danielle...." he whispered in my ear. Oh god, he knew his effect on me. "...You've protected me..." his hand went to the back of my neck. "....loved me.." he let out a small laugh and kissed me again. "....you taught me...." I smelt his mint fresh scent on his neck. "made me laugh when I didnt want to...." he suddenly stopped kissing me and touching me. i stopped myself from letting out a 'no!' and I'm sure he knew that.

We sat there for a minute, me not understanding the purpose of this flashback. He gave me the little boy grin and moved closer to me. 

"Danielle Anthony Stark...." oh fuck no. Please, Loki.... "Will you be mine forever?"
