Danielle:

I dragged the Iron Man suit to the temple, Thor's hammer in my left hand. I set the suit back on the wall of the temple. I had probably been sitting in the snow for a few hours, expecting Frost Giants or anything to approach me. No one came. They probably saw the others leave and didn't think I was too much to worry about. I sat on the ground, hugging the warm suit and trying to get some sleep. The previous night I spent in the temple, I stayed up looking at Loki.

Disturbed. Crying out in his sleep. Thrashing the air, hurt, calling out to his father before falling in the abyss. I could have done it, Father....

His hurt when his father said no. His hand in a fist letting go of something. His head rolling back, falling. Ashamed. No longer able to bare it, I stood up and leaned by the pillar looking out. Thats when he woke up, completely unaware of what happened.

Oh who am I kidding, I can't sleep. I had no idea where Loki was, what Thor was upto, if dad and mom were safe... The cold got to me and I missed Loki trying to keep me warm.

*******

"She's awake..."

What?

The room was blue, and it seemed gold was dancing on the floor, like in Loki's room in Asgard. I propped myself up on my palms, but the ice cut through and I fell. Fuck, thats cold. I felt two strong arms grab mine and make me stand. Holy shit, cant they use a hot iron rod or something, why their hands!?

Thor's hammer!!

I looked around desperately, realising later its no use. I had hidden it behind a lose brick, but that wouldn't be much help now, would it!? I let my still stinging arms drop to my sides and slouch, staring into the red eyes of Laufey. He sneered at me.

"Mortalllll.." he hissed, as if it was some sory of disgusting word he was rolling around his tongue. "Pathetic..." he spat. I kept quiet. "What is it you see in spending life with another!? Binding and surrendering to another for all eternity to be ordered around."

"Its nothi..."

"SILENCE!" he yelled, and somehow seemed to float to me. "This freedom you speak of. How willingly you enter the instituition of marraige, knowing your limitations. What makes you think Loki even means to go through with this pathetic idea?"

I stood firm, but inside, I felt I was falling. Into nothing. "You really believe him..?" he sneered. "You really think that a Frost Giant included in the Tribe Of Aesir, son of Laufey would really fall so much as to commit himself to a being as miserable as yourself?"

I knew he was right. We are everything he says we are. But hearing it from him seemed to anger me. Like only I had the right to insult the human race and no one else.

"We are a lot better than you..." i said softly. "We still do love. We help, we cherish and commit."

"I know how far you take your commitments, Stark.." he said. "I know how much you help too."

I had nothing. If only my past didn't be a bitch right now.

"You stayed here for Loki? Fine. By all means, you shall be taken to him....."

For a moment I felt like smiling, when I caught the look on his face, as he continued, "......to a glass cage right opposite his chambers. He cannot see you nor hear you, but you will see his every move, hear his every word..." he smiled, so sinister. "His every breath and movement you will be sensitive to, and he shall never leave. You will die with his face being your very last sight. You will never feel his touch nor would he ever know you died... he will always remain in that room thinking you left him in this world, to his fate..."

That hurt me more than what he said about humans.

He settled in his seat. "Take her away..."

I made no attempt to fight. What use was it? I was pulled by ice cold hands and pushed into the glass chamber. Sure enough. Loki. Sleeping so peacefully. I touched the smooth glass and felt it sting. I withdrew my hand immediately. Great. I couldn't even touch the glass if Loki ever happened to lean against it.

I sat on the floor, knees upto my chin, thinking what to do next.
