A Changed Man (A Loki fan fiction)

Third person POV

Third Person :

"Thor and I are going hunting..." Loki announced. Danielle looked up from her book. She got up and kept it aside. "Can I come...?"

"What did I tell you...?" Loki turned to Thor. Thor laughed. "I don't think its your speed, Danielle." he said. "After all, you are a lady."

Loki looked at Danielle with narrowed eyes and his mouth forming a small "o". She grabbed the scepter and pointed it at Thor. 

"Say that again..."

"I was teasing.... of course you can come!" Thor said quickly. She smiled.

"I doubt we will find any deer, Father seemed to have wiped the forest last month."

"They breed, we'll find a good one to roast tonight." Danielle yelled from behind, finally catching up to the princes. . "In the meantime, I need a faster horse if I'm gonna chase a deer."

"We're in it together...." Loki said. "We hunt together, we take it as our prize."

Danielle stared at Loki. "Are you serious? So the three of us behind one deer, whats the use?"

"Ssshhh..." Thor hissed... "You'll scare them away." he whispered. 

Danielle had a good remark in store but decided to keep it for later. She looked around, her eyes adjusting to the dim light of the forest fast. She was sensitive to the tiniest sound, and wished she had the power to filter it. All she wanted was to hear a deer walking or something. 

"Dan..." Loki whispered. "Over there...." Loki pointed with his bow. He took aim and was about to release the arrow when the deer started to run. 

"Come on!" Thor laughed and went galloping with Loki following. A minute later, Danielle's horse decided to start running.

"You did this on purpose!" Danielle said, once she finally caught up to Loki, Thor and the dead deer at the horse's hooves. "I know you did"

"I dont know what you're talking about..." Loki said. 

"He really doesn't...." Thor grinned. 

"You switched horses..." Danielle glared at Thor. 

"Brother...." Loki frowned. Danielle shrugged.

"It's okay.. lets get the deer and go back." Danielle turned her horse to ride back to the city. Thor and Loki looked at each other, shocked that it did not anger her. Never-the-less, without questioning a thing, they dragged the deer back to the palace, with Danielle going full speed ahead.

"Its wonder she couldn't get the horse to do that in the forest." Loki yelled to Thor over the wind. "She's far head of us."

"I know her play.." Thor yelled back. "She means to tell everyone she killed the deer."

"it's hardly a play... but do you plan to deny it and tell everyone how the deer was planted?"

"Dont be daft, brother!" Thor laughed. "How you managed to hide your thoughts is beyond me."

Loki gave Thor a mischeivious smile and yelled for his horse to go faster till Thor was left behind.

"How come you couldn't make your horse gallop like that in the forest?" Loki asked Danielle dismounting his horse. 

"Because I know that deer was planted and your plan all along" Danielle smiled. Loki groaned. "Keep that away from Thor."

"Oh Thor knows...." Danielle laughed. Just then, they heard the gallop and turned. 

"I wasn't aware!" Thor swore, but gave it away by laughing.

"You played me!" Loki said, realisation dawning on him. "The two of you!"

"The God of Mischeif and Trickery..." Thor said. "I salute thee!"

"How did you hide your thoughts?" Loki asked Danielle.

"I learnt it." she said. "Its fun, isin't it?"

"She's turning out to be quite the Frost giant, isin't she?" Thor smiled. "Well, I'm going to go and.... roast the deer." he dissappeared. 

Loki sighed. 

"What? I do what I want..." Danielle went to hug Loki. "You enjoy a joke now and again, dont pretend to be mad."
