Once Thor entered the palace, he was bombarded with questions from Jane, Frigga and Pepper. He wondered how he got into such a situation.

"She is fine." he told Pepper. "She opted to stay behind though. With Loki." He turned to Jane. "I went to speak to Anthony Stark... and Mother... We need to assemble an army. We must get Loki back."

Frigga showed no sign of agreement. Thor felt dread tighten around him. He didnt want to ask, but he had to know. "Do you not want Loki back, mother!?" he asked, a single tear running down his cheek. He wiped it off quickly. "Mother..?"

"Thor... They will not hurt Loki. He is one of them. Meanwhile..."

"HE IS NOTHING LIKE THEM!" Thor cried. "He is one of us. He belongs here!"

"Thor, shouting will not further your cause." Frigga looked at him sternly. Thor angrily turned around and walked past the group crowding him, into his chambers. Jane followed.

"They will obey you, you know..." Jane said. "Why do you need her permission?"

"I don't..." Thor sat back, feeling helpless and missing the feel of Mjolnir in his grip. The sense of power. "But I need to know there are others who care."

"We do. But some feel is Asgard and Loki are safe, why must..."

"We can't be certain Loki is safe. They want Loki, not because they wish to merely re-connect. They want to use him. What for!?"

Jane didn't say a word. She knew he was right. "What are you going to do..?"

"I promised Danielle I would go back for her. I'm not about to break that promise."
