As I promised Danielle, we took the horse across the rainbow bridge to Heimdall.

"Open the Bifrost..."

Heimdall smiled and did so, repeating his usual instruction and letting us go. The force pulled us in and she and I were transported through a long tunnel and fell on a hard surface. I looked around and it seemed familiar.

This wasn't Midgard.

It was Jotenheim!

"What is this place!?" Danielle asked.

"Its..." I looked around. I definitely remembered this place. Thor and I had once come here with the Warriors Three to fight, only to be outnumbered and taken back to Asgard by father. We were such immature beings, waging war unprotected. Thinking we could defeat a planet full of frost Giants. That's when i discovered who I was.

I looked up and saw Laufey's palace. Cold, cold palace. The environment was favorable to me, but a few seconds later Danielle started to chatter, and the clicking echoed through the silence.

"Ssshh, love..." I hugged her, attempting to keep her warm, but I had turned Jotun naturally. She didn't fight me off, but i let her go.

"I'm sorry I cant keep you warm..." I looked at her. i knew she was scared, but her face didn't reveal it. She was brave girl, definitely. And very proud.

"I'm not THAT cold, you know. you can hug me again, I kinda liked it..." she smiled at me mischeivously. I hugged her and felt her shiver.

"Danielle..."

"I'm fine!" she insisted. "Really, we need to figure out a way to get out of here."

"I cant yell for Heimdall."

"Why would he send us here!?" she asked. "Is it a mistake?"

"Heimdall makes no mistakes." I confirmed. I knew him. Only one possible explanation. "The frost giants may have shape shifted. We have the enemy in Asgard."

"Well... we can't warn them, and calling for the Bifrost won't do us much good... it wont be sent to us, and everyone will hear us."

"We can't talk here..." I took her hand, and she flinched, ever so slightly, but I forced myself to ignore it. She can't help it, its not her fault you're a demon, and she still loves you.

"Where are we going?"

"To a place I know we won't be found..." I led her to an abandoned, ruined temple. Just the way I remembered it. She seemed wonderstruck and walked around, touching every cracked pillar and finally stopped at the idol of our goddess. "She's beautiful! Who is she?"

I knew, but I didnt want to tell her. It would only scare her. Luckily she dropped the question and went to another one. "How do you know this place!? I thought you hadn't been here in a long time."

"It's the temple I was kept in as a baby." I said. "I wasn't a normal giant-sized baby at birth, so my father hid me in the ruins of this temple, knowing I would never be found."

She looked at, unsure of what to say. I smiled at her. "You don't have to say anything, Danielle. But we must spend the night here. Anywhere else is unsafe."

The next morning, I woke up and saw Danielle already up, leaning against the pillar looking outside.

"See anything you like?" I asked her jokingly. She turned and walked to me, uncrossing her arms. "Just ice. And blue. Blue ice. Palaces made of ice. Blue people with ice inside." she sat down. "This is the only place without ice!" she knocked the hard floor with her knuckles. "Its warm."

"Which is why no Frost Giant ever comes here."

"We cant spend our life hiding in a temple from your father, Loki." she said softly. "I don't want to hide."

"He's not my father." I stood up, my scepter appearing from nowhere, warm in my hands. "Odin All-Father is. I'm in the Aesir tribe, I am a god. And Laufey is threatning the man who saved me from a miserable fate."

"What are you going to do then?" I felt her hands wrap around me. I was cold.... cold as ice, and yet she hugged me from behind, and her cheek rested on my freezing shoulder. She was all I wanted really, I didn't mind living in the ruins if I had her. But I had to get her out. She didn't need to live in ruins and hide from demons all because she decided to save me one night.

I turned to her and took her face in my hands and kissed her lightly. "You shouldn't have saved me. Look what's happened to you."

"I'm fine..." her ego stepped in once more. Ah, Danielle. "Nothing's happened, I'm alive and well, I have you, you have my brilliant mind.." she laughed. "We'll get out of this."

I didnt know what to say. I just hugged her. "You're just amazing. Do you know that?"

"You just told me..." she laughed. "I love you, Loki."

"I think I can muster up enough magic for one of us to get to Asgard. It's quite powerful, but it will work." I kept my scepter standing up, glowing in the dark temple.

"Well... if you go, wouldn't you just reach Heimdall? Or whoever the giant is, but he could just throw you back in."

"No, I can send you wherever I like in the palace. I'm sending you to the corridor outside Thor's chambers."

"ME!?"

"You didn't think I'd leave you and go, did you!?"

"I think you should, i wouldn't be much help there!"

"You only have to bring them here. I can stay and keep a watch, you must go and alert Father and Thor."

Danielle looked completely terrified of the idea. "Unless ofcourse, Danielle, you're too scared to do it..."

She wiped the look off her face and stood up. "Get me to Asgard. I'll show you scared, smartass."

I knew it was some insult, but I laughed. "all right, then."
