I look at him, he smiles and pats the bed next to him. I walk over and sit down next to him.
"Nice dress," He comments as I look at him.
I nod in return and he gently puts the box on my lap. I look at he cat as it stares back up at me. Its big blue eyes stare at me. It meows.
"Isn't she cute?" He chuckles.
"I love you," I say out of no where.
"The cat, or me?" He asks surprised.
"The cat, the cat, the cat," I say embarrassed.
I hear him sigh and I lean onto him. I feel so flirty all of a sudden. I feel, confident. I don't know, but I laugh. He laughs too.
"Dell, I love you," I say softly.
"Ana..." His voice trails off.
Did I do something wrong? I'm stupid to think he still likes me. What, he gets me a cat and suddenly he loves me? I shake my head and get off of him. My face is red, I can feel it burning, asking me what to do next.
"I'm sorry, no, that's not what I mean. I just got caught up in the moment," I laugh awkwardly and get up.
I place the box back down on the bed and walk away. I don't hear him coming after me.
