ROSS'S P.O.V.
I was sitting on the porch of Jenn's house and looking through my phone at pictures of her.
A car drove by, and something flew out and landed at my feet. My name was written in big letters on the front of the envelope. Okay then.
I knelt down to pick it up.
"Don't touch that!" Rydel's voice screamed from behind me.
I froze, and turned to look at her. "Why not?"
"Because, that's Sheila's writing."
I stared at her, then at the envelope. "I'll put gloves on. I need to know what she has to say."
She went inside and got a pair. "Do you want me to stay or go?"
"Doesn't matter."
She sat down beside me. I pulled on the gloves. Carefully handling the envelope, I opened it. My blood froze in my veins. There was Jenn, on some guy's lap, smiling like she'd never been happier. Underneath, Sheila had written a message,
Ross,
Just thought I should let you all know what Jenn's up to now. The real reason she left. She wanted to run away with him. They are even married. They have been for 2 years. Why do you think she was so eager to leave when I showed up at the porch? The gun was just for show. Anyway, that's it.

My eyes traveled back up to the picture. They were both wearing gold bands on their ring finger. I threw the envelope down, and ran into the backyard, into the poolhouse. I slammed the door shut, and collapsed on a pile of towels. Tears ran down my face as I tried to process what I'd just learned. How could Jenn do this to me? I thought she loved me! Turns out I was just a joke to waste her time on, while she was really MARRIED this whole time!! And after everything I'd gone through with her! I sobbed into the towels, curlee into a ball, and buried myself away from the world.
