I AM SO SO SO SO SO SORRY HOW LONG THIS TOOK!!! I'VE BEEN SUPER FOCUSED ON MY OVER-THE-SUMMER ASSIGNMENTS, CUZ I HAVE LESS THAN 2 WEEKS UNTIL SCHOOL, AND I PROCRASTINATED...... SO YEAH. AND THEN WHEN I HAD TIME, MY MOM WOULD BE ON THE COMPUTER.... OR IT WOULD BE HIGH HYDRO PAYING TIME... SO YEAH SUPER SORRY, HOPE YOU LIKE THIS CHAPTER!!!!
CORA'S P.O.V.
I got woken up by a tongue licking my face. I quickly sat up, and picked up Peppa, my Jack Russel. She's white with brown spot, and super adorable. Then I turned over to check my phone. I had a text from Riker, sent a few minutes ago.
Good morning babe! <3 I'll see you in a half an hour, at your house!! Be ready!!! I love you!!! <333
Oh, and make sure you have a bathing suit and other beach stuff ready! <3
I smiled, and sent a quick text back,
I'm up now :) I can't wait to see you!! Don't worry, I will be! I love you too!!! <33
I got up, made my bed, and went over to my closet to get dressed. The first thing I did was put on my royal blue bikini, with white polka dots. Then I grabbed a pair of jean shorts, and a light blue tank top. I brushed my hair, and put it in a high ponytail. Peppa followed me around my room, wagging her tail.
Rummaging through my closet, I finally found my beach bag. It was neon pink, and had R5 song lyrics written all over it in black sharpie. I went around my room and put my beach towel, a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, and a frisbee into the bag. Since I figured we were going to go to the beach, I didn't put any make up on. Just as I finished I heard the doorbell ring.
Leaving my bag in my room, I ran downstairs carrying Peppa, to answer the door. Riker was standing there in a blue tank top, and cargo shorts.
"Hey! This is Peppa!" He patted her head,and I put her down on the floor. She sat beside my legs.
"Hey babe, " He leaned down and pulled me into a long kiss. I melted into him, and wrapped my arms around his neck.
I heard footsteps coming down the stairs, and we broke apart. I told him to come in, and he followed me to the kitchen.
"Good morning sweetie, " My mom said, giving me a hug.
"Good morning Mom, " I hugged her back.
Riker gave Mom a wave, "Good morning," he smiled.
She turned towards him, looked him up and down, then nodded approvingly. "Okay, I'm leaving for an overnight trip with Cora's father," she looked at me, "he left earlier," then back to Riker, "So you guys will have the house to yourself, until we get home tomorrow. Probably around 10. I'm going to trust you. I'd recommend not betraying that trust." She gave us both meaningful glances, we blushed.
"Okay, well, I'm off then. Bye sweetie!" We hugged and kissed each other on the cheeks, then she left.
Riker grabbed me around the waist and spun me around. "Breakfast time! I'm going to make you my french toast supreme!"
I laughed, "and what is that exactly??"
"It is french toast, with cinnamon and strawberries, and icing sugar!" He grinned, and kissed me, before rummaging through the bags that he had brought with him for ingrediants.
I fed Peppa, then sat on the counter and watched him. I could get used to this. I smiled to myself. about 15 minutes later he out two plates of yummy-looking french toast on the table.
"Your food awaits, mademoiselle, " he pulled out the chair for me, and I sat down, then he pushed me back in, before sitting down across from me.
"Well thank you, kind sir." We both burst out laughing, then dug into our food.
