We sat down at a large table on the other side of the room. My Uncle was seated on one end and I the other.

Our kitchen maids came in to place down the food and exit. Mira was one of those maids that came to deliver our food.

I smiled at Mira and she smiled back. They placed down the food and left at once. I would have loved of Mira could stay but it wasn't my dinner, it was Uncle Zeref's.

"That maid. . . do you know her?" My uncle asked after the maids departed. I could only assume he was talking about Mira.

"Yes I do know her. She is my personal maid and close friend."

"How wonderful." My uncle finished, picking up his utensils and digging in.

I began to eat as well. Our meal was silent until my uncle interjected a thought.

"Are you close friends with anyone else in the castle?"

I was surprised about his curiosity on the subject but quickly answer.

"Norman." We both said in unison.

I stared at my uncle with a puzzled look on my face. He could clearly see that I wanted answers.

"I knew because of your father." My uncle informed me, standing up and walking over to his desk. He proceeded to pull out a piece of parchment from one of the droors and read it aloud.

"My dear brother I ask that you assist me with an trial I am having with my daughter."

"Trial?" I repeated with confusion. He continued,

"I wish that she is restricted from spending to much time with the messenger, Norman, of our kingdom and I would like you keep it this way. You are to continue this work in my absence for the Ice Realm's sake. Sincerely your brother, Natsu Dragneel. "

He then put the parchment down on the table and looked up at me.
I was still confused.
Stay away from Norm for the sake on the Ice Realm?

"I wasn't supposed to read that to you." Uncle Zeref informed me, sitting back down at the table.

"But. . ." I mumbled in shock.

"Nashi," He stated, getting my attention,
"I believe that your father has that will of me. . . and you. . .because. . ."

"Because what?" I asked standing up, both hands flat on the table.

"Because of the chance of you falling in love with a boy in a lower class." My uncle said, almost looking ashamed of his words.

I sat down in shock.
Did my father really worry about Norman and I that much? To think that he actually thought that the two of us would get that close.
I never thought of us like that.

"I can assure you that will never happen." I said sternly, looking down at my hands.

"I thought so." My uncle hummed, beginning to eat once more.

I just sat there still concerned about the matter. So many questions were going through my head that I couldn't answer. That only answers were with my father far across the country side.

"So are you going to follow through with it then?" I asked glumly.

"No. I want you to make the choice of following the letter or not."

"Very well."

I shook off the event putting it aside for future thinking. I wanted to seize this opportunity to learn more of my uncle before I left tomorrow.

"So where have you been all this time, Uncle Zeref?" I asked with a smirk.

"Well. . .I. . . um. . ." He mumbled, pulling on his shirt caller.

I leaned in closer to him with a determined face.
"Come on don't leave me in the dark."

"I've just been out and about, in and out of the city.

"Is there more to the story?" I inquired more sinisterly than before.

"I've met a women. . ." He sigh, with sign of defeat.

"Really? Who?"

"I met her in a far off city not near home. I ran into her on the side of the road when I was walking on my own. I saw her and turns out we were heading to the same city, a days journey."

"And her name?" I questioned, coming closer and sitting on the edge of my seat.

"Her name is Mavis."

"Will you be seeing her again?"

"Yes, we plan to meet again when I am done with my business here."

Over time my uncle's cheeks turned a slight shade of pink. I could tell he was thing to hide his love for this women.

"So are you in love with her?" I asked more gentler.

He said nothing, only stood up to look out the window.

"I should say, she isn't just any women to me." He said seriously. "We have known each other for months now and I believe I want to marry her. So yes, I guess you can say I do love her."

I was in shock. Wide eyes, no motion, I could feel the blood lowly rush to my cheeks.

"I've never had an Aunt before!" I cried out, running over to my uncle and embracing him in a large hug.

I was happy for him.
