Thank goodness the table was large so I could easy hide myself under it.The door on the other end of the room was opened and two men walked through. I quietly crawled under the table to a place where I could get a good view of the new faces that entered the room.
I made sure I didn't make any noise while transferring my weight or changing positions.
When I did get into the position needed, I slowly ducked my head and look at the male figures. It was my Father and some man wearing really fine clothes. They were talking about something that was hard to understand because they walked in mid conversation.
"I think it will go well, she just arrived today so all we need to do is have them both ready and plan for everything to go smoothly." My Father told the man.
"I understand that, but like I said he is still out traveling so our plan may have to change last second." The gentleman replied.
"I will keep an open mind then, Gray." My Father said with a chuckle.
I observed this other man my Father was talking to. Who was he? He wasn't a servant, he had too nice of clothes to be one. I've never seen him before. . . or at least I don't think I have.
"Gray." I whispered quietly.
I didn't recognize his name. Before I knew it the room was silent again. They were gone and that means I could come out of my hiding place.
I crawled out from under the table. Well, I kinda did. I stood up too soon and hit my head on the edge of the table.
Of course."Ouch." I said rubbing my head as I knelt on the floor.
"Are you alright?" I heard someone ask.
I turn to the direction of the voice. . . oh no.
It was my Father and Gray."Uh. . . " I said still kneeling on the floor between to chairs at the table.
"Nashi, you're supposed to stand and bow before royalty." My Father told me.
I looked at him with a very puzzled face. But I could tell he was serious.
"Just come here, Nashi." He stated with a smile of amusement.
Still confused about his last comment, I stood up and walk until I was about seven feet or so away from the two men before me.
"I would like to introduce you to Gray Fullbuster, King and ruler of the Ice Realm." My Father told me, gesturing to the man beside him.
I instantly felt nervous. My eyes widened, palms sweated, I. . . didn't really know what to do.
This was the first time I've ever seen the man.
I bowed and said,
"It's a pleasure to meet you."I looked up, Gray nodded then asked,
"So are you the one who opened up all these windows?""Uh, yes. . . yes I did." I chirped, looking around the room.
"It looks good." Gray said before walking back towards the exit.
My Father began to follow but quickly said to me,
"I'm see you at dinner, my dear.""See you then." I called after him.
I took one last look around the dinning hall before I left back though the door I came in, back to my new chambers.
"Mira's probably waiting for me." I whispered to myself as I made my way down the hall.
"I wonder if she has an evening dress already ready for me."I really liked what I was wearing at the moment and was kinda sad to have to take it off. I knew since I would be having dinner with the Ice Realm rulers, I wouldn't be able to wear my lucky scarf.
"I'm back." I chirped, entering my room once again, closing the door behind me.
