>Nashi's continued<

Mira looked tired but determined.
I felt bad for hurrying her this far but we had to get to my father.

"Should we take a minute to rest? We have been hurrying at steady pace for quite some time." I stated, looking back at my maid who was a few feet behind me.

"Let's not stop but maybe. . . Slow down for a while." She said with energy but I could tell she was tired.

I slowed my pace to a simple walk, Mira catching up on my right.

We were both on the correct floor, several stories where we last were. This is where my parents bedroom was located.

"Do you know what you are going to say?" Questioned Mira as we reached the right corridor.

"Um. . ." I started to say but paused for a moment.

What was I going to say exactly?
It doesn't sound that difficult to go up and talk to your parents but after seeing Levy's reaction I'm not too sure.

She seemed bothered by the topic and I don't know how my own parents will react.

Will they even give me an answer?

I grew up not being told anything. I was told pretty truths or nothing at all.
I mean. . . I just found out my own brother didn't actually die those many years ago.

No.
I can't let the past hold me back.
Now, things are different.

I'm older now. I have found my voice.

"I'll figure it out when I get inside." I answered.

The door to my parents chambers where now in front of us. Like all the other doors, it was a pearly white.

"Who first?" I asked, turning to Mira.

"I can go first if you like Princess."

I thought for a moment and nodded.
"You first, Mira."

Mira complied, moving so she could walk through the door before me.
She reached up and kindly knocked on the door, awaiting an answer.

"Who is it?" A feminine voice rang from the other side of the chamber door.

"Mira!" My maid chirped brightly.

"Come in." The same voice from before replied.

Mira opened the door and stepped in.
I waited a few seconds before entering behind her.

In the room was my mother. She was seated in the desk in the far corner of the room.
She looked to be writing a long page out before we came in.

"Hello, Mira." She hummed, turning her attention to her new guests.
"And is that. . . Hello, Nashi."

I lightly smiled, almost nervously, at my mother who seemed to have noticed me right when I walked in.

"What can I help you with?" My mother asked, moving from her desk seat to stand in front of us.

Mira looked to me, signaling me to respond.

"Yes, have you seen father?" I humbly asked.

Before my mother could answer a low voice from behind me addressed me,
"Nashi."

I quickly turned around and there was my father. He must have just exited the closet because he now stood in its door way.

"Oh! Father. . . I need to ask you about something." I mumbled.

My father looked over to me, into my eyes.

"And what would that be?" He inquired, turning to walk over to the lounge chair in the corner of the room.
