So apparently I fell asleep.

The trip was boring! We had been sitting there for days now looking at trees and rock and stuff. The same thing passing by.

Don't get me wrong. . . I know I should be thankful that I'm out of the castle. . . but still.

I guess Mira woke me up, I'm glad she did, because we finally made it to the Ice Realm.

"Miss Nashi, look!" My kind spirited maid chirped, still shaking me to come back to consciousness.

"Wha-...what is it?" I mumbled, rubbing my eyes and looking in the direction she was pointing.

Out the window was a large silver gate. It was probably over 40 feet tall. It was attached to a large wall only a little shorter than it but much longer. The wall was so long I couldn't tell where it started or where it ended.

"Woah. What is this place?" I asked Mira in ah.

"This is the boarder line for the Fire and Ice Realm." She said looking out her window.

We passed though the large gate which was slowly opened for our group could venture through.

I continued to look out the window.
The landscape had changed drastically.

The ground was flatter and had more pine trees than oak which was on the other side of the gate.

As we traveled more, the road was more bumpy making the carriage rattle more and the trip go by slower.

Snow began to be more frequent as we traveled up the rocky terrain. It was a gentle wet snow that dressed the rocks and trees making the land look magical.

I always knew about snow but never seen so much at once.

I turned to Mira, she was smiling. She had opened the window and letting her hand dance in the snow flakes. I was glad she got to have this moment to truly experience home again.

"If only you and I were riding horses so we could still be traveling but be in the snow." I told Mira while looking at the soldiers on horses out the window.

"That would be a nice experience." Mira hummed.

After staring out at the endless fields of white our carriage stopped.
I opened the cubby door to see the Norman was hopping down.

"What's up Norm? Why did we stop?" I asked him. He smiled, not answering me, and walked up to the carriage door.

Mira and I turn to see Norman in the opening of the carriage door glittered in the winter white.

"Wait here." He said as he made his way behind the carriage. I heard rummaging around and then he returned with blankets and coats.

"Here." He huffed, handing Mira and I the supplies he had just gathered.

I was confused and turned to Mira for answers. She smiled and most likely understood what Norman was wanting us to do.

She grabbed a coat and started to put it on. I did the same, putting on a thick grey jacket with a white animal fur trim.

I followed Mira out of the carriage. She instantly ran out and went into the opened field across the road.

When first placing my foot on the ground, I heard a crunch as I pressed my weigh down. Norman offered his hand to assist me down which I quickly grabbed out of excitement.

I ran out to catch up with Mira. The wind nipped at my face as I made my way to her.
When she saw me she smiled,  I could tell she was truly happy.

As I looked to the sky, staring up at the snow falling I felt a hard object hit me in the side.

I looked to find its source with much alarm. I soon found out it was Norman. He was standing a few feet away with a ball of snow interlocked in his fingers.

"What was that for?"  I question, walking up to him.
But I soon regretted that action. Norman then attempted to throw his second ball of snow at me. I dodged it just in time.

Now this was getting real.

I took off the string that I always carry around for a just-in-case and wrapped it around my hair so it would stay out of my face.

I gave Norman a quick evil glare which made him flinch. I reached down and scooped up some snow making a nice round ball.

I looked up, aiming at my target. By this time Norman had already made over 5 snow balls so I better make this one count.
