"Now should we go back and explain the plan?" Gale asked when we finally group together."Actually....I have a better idea." Storm said with excitement.
"Can I see your key Rosemary?"The red haired maiden nodded, reaching into her pocket and pulled out an old key.
"Thanks." He chirped before running over to the old wooden shed.
Storm unlocked the door and disappeared into the shed.
I looked around at our little group left behind to see if they had any clue on what Storm was doing. But all I saw was puzzled expressions and closed lips.I turned back to the clatter happening back at the shed. Storm stepped back out with a large mysterious box.
He walked back up to us, handed Rosemary her key and said,
"Follow me."With out any voice against the matter we followed Storm down the road, to even more cleared areas until we reached a really ice patch in a field.
"What's this all about Storm?" Reiki asked in a confused yet excited way.
"You'll see." The prince said, placing the box on the snow.
Storm fumbled through the box and pulled out...skates?
"Skates?" Nova said with confusion in her voice.
The prince continued to pull out skates until six pairs of them, now lined up in the snow.
Three pairs were black and three were brown."The girls ones are brown and the guys black." Storm said standing up and facing us.
"We're going skating?" Nova asked.
Storm nodded,
"Pick your pair." He said gesturing towards all the skates.Reiki quickly ran up and picked up a black pair in the middle of all the skates. Everyone went one by one picking up a pair of skates until there was only two pairs left.
Storm bent down, picking up the last two pairs, then turned to me.
"Here." He said, handing me a set of brown skates.
"Thank you." I mumbled nervously.
I've never skated before. This was truly nerve raking.
I'm going to make a fool of myself! I'm going to take one step on the ice and fall straight on my face.Everyone slipped on there skates and moved over to the ice.
"This was a lake at one point." Storm told me.
"It being frozen over like this makes it perfect to skate on.""T-that's good." I shakily said from being cold and nervous all at once.
"What's wrong, Nashi?" Storm asked looking into my eyes.
"Well I-I uh...I've never gone skating b-before." I said looking down at the skates on my feet.
They fit perfectly, the only thing that wasn't perfect was me, as in my mind set and skill.
"Don't worry my dear, I'll teach you." He said taking my hand and holding it gently.
The group got onto the ice and began to skate. Rosemary and Reiki were already on the ice, racing around with each other, they were really good.
Nova and Gale stepped onto the ice together. Nova's legs were wobbling as she held onto Gale. I guess she hasn't skated much either.
"You ready dear?" Storm asked me with a smile.
He looked excited, wide eyes, bright smile. He really did like skating.
"Kinda." I hummed with the same wobbly legs as Nova.
Storm stepped on the ice first. He was stable, ready to go.
I still had a grip of his hand as I worriedly took my first step to my embarrassing doom."See, it's not that hard." The prince said, still holding my cold-pink hand.
With both feet now planted on the ice, I felt confident that I would be able to keep this up, so I let go of Storms hand to stand on my own.
Which I soon learned was a bad decision.I had a good few second of glory until I lost balance and began to slip.
Thankfully before I fell...I was caught."Almost lost you there. Are you ok?" Storm asked, Reiki and Rosemary gliding past.
"Yes I'm ok, just....stay close."
"As you wish."
