"Will I see you there?" Norman asked letting our arms unlink.

"Hopefully." I chirped, now standing in front of him.

"Hopefully?"

"Well I don't know what's going to happen. I haven't really been to one of these in a while and oh-"

Norman quickly wrapped his arms around me in a tender embrace. I was shocked for a second then gentle hugged him back.

"You're acting like you'll never see me again." I said kindly yet awkwardly. I could feel the blood rushing to my cheeks.

Norman didn't say anything. All he did was hold me in his arms.

I slowly felt his grip loosen and his arms open a bit. He sighed and looked into my eyes as we still remained close to one another.

"Have fun at the ball. . .  Nashi." He told me in a quite tone.

"I'll make sure to save you a dance." I said at the same volume.

He let his arms drop as we turned walk away.
He waved and pulled a black mask over his red tinted face.

I waved back, pulling my red and gold mask over my chocolate brown eyes.
Norman turned the corner and was out of sight.

I drew a large breath and reached for the large door hand. I could hear music being played and many people chatting away.

"Nashi!" I heard someone call out from beside me.

I turn to see a short bluette girl in a long light blue dress with a small white glittered mask.

"Sylvia?" I chirped, watching the girl approach me.

She removed her mask and smiled.
"Yup! Nashi you look beautiful!" She cheered, looking at me with wide eyes.

"Thanks." I replied, looking down a myself.

"Yeah, much prettier than you did in riding clothes. Now you actually look like a princess." She said with a funny smirk.

"Ha ha, very funny." I said with a small laugh.

All of a sudden, Sylvia's Butler walked up to us with a serious face.

"Sebastian, What are you doing here?" Sylvia asked the ebony hair colored man.

"Your brother requested that I stay close to you this evening." The butler informed the princess with a simple bow.

Sylvia gave a simple sigh and shrugged.
"Very well then." She said pulling her mask over her face.
"But you're going to need this." She chirped, pulling out a simple black silk mask from her small hand purse and reaching to put it on her butler.

Sebastian bent down so Sylvia could conveniently pull the mask over his eyes.
When the mask was on straight and the man returned to his original height, it looked very good on him. It fit his facial features quite nicely.

"There." Sylvia said stepping back to look at her masterpiece.

"Now for the ball?" I questioned from behind the bluette.

"Yes, now for the ball." Sylvia agreed, reaching for the large door handle like I did previously.

The doors opened slowly as Sylvia pulled them with much force. A flood of music and talking filled the air as we looked inside.
Masked faces filled the room with the help of slick suits and large dresses.

The room was two stories high, the first floor, being the main party had people either dancing in the center of the room or lining the walls.

On the second floor were the royals. Lord Gray sat in the center of everyone in a large throne. His wife, Lady Juvia, sat on his left wearing a long and very beautiful white dress with light blue flowers. On his right was my Mother in a long beautiful pink dress, she was looking at my Father who was on her right.

But besides that, the thing that stuck out to me the most was the figure sitting on Lady Juvia's left. It was a boy around my age, wearing very fine clothes of the colors navy and black. I could only assume he was the prince everyone had been taking about.

The prince wore a small cloak that only half covered his hair. It was already hard enough to see him because of the darker lighting up stairs. His mask was a dark navy blue, most like made of silk, that lined bright sky blue eyes. . .

staring straight at me.
