"Good evening Miss Nashi, did you explore enough of the castle?" Mira said exiting the closet."I guess." I hummed, sitting down on the bed.
"That's good, are you ready to get changed?" She asked reentering the closet.
"I suppose."
I took off my boots and scarf, then walked into the closet.
Mira and I decided on a large blue dress with white flowers. My hair was put up into a bun and small fake white flower placed in it my hair to compliment the dress. I wore long white glove which I knew I would have trouble with during dinner but Mira said I would be fine. Then Mira did my make-up in a more natural way and finally I was then ready to go."Now all you have to do is wait for some to tell you the 'ready'" Mira said putting away the make-up.
"Ok." I replied, moving over to the window.
I looked out at the evening city. The street had few street lights and Windows were all lit up making the city glow with color. From this distance, I couldn't see many people, but I could see some men at the castle stables below.
They were working away, feeding the horses and cleaning up. I didn't see Nash nor any of our men. Probably because they were inside eating their dinner.
All of a sudden I hear a knock on the door. I turned to see Mira opening it.
"Oh come in, Norman." She said opening the door all the way.
Norman was now standing in my room. He was now dressed back in royal messenger clothes but they were different. Instead of his usually theme of red, purple, and gold uniform, he was now wearing a blue, white, and silver uniform. I just assumed it was because that's what they wore in these parts.
"Nice uniform." I told him before he spoke.
"T-thank you Princess Nashi. You l-look very lovely t-tonight. " he said with wide eyes followed by a bow.
"Uh Princess, I have a-"
"Message for me?" I interrupted.
"Yes, Dinner is ready, the royals r-request to see you in the d-dinning hall."
"Very well, thank you Norman, now escort me there." I said, walking up to him.
I knew where the dining hall was of course, but I wanted to walk with Norman. I mean, I was the one that invited him so I wanted to spend this small amount of time with him.
He is my friend after all."Wait, Miss Nashi, before you go." Mira said handing me blue high heel shoes.
"Thank you." I said carrying them out of the door.
Norman and I were now out of the room and down the hall arm in arm. He was escorting me after all, it was the right thing to do.
"So do you like it here, Norman?" I asked as we made our way down the hall.
"It's different, but, a g-good different."
"That's good and I agree. A good different."
We walked for a minutes longer before I asked,
"Do you like your new uniform?""Uh. . . I'm not r-really a blue person." He said looking down at his clothes.
"Yeah, I'd say you were more of a red or green kind of a person."
He agreed and we continued to talk more and more. We talked about the castles similarities and differences to our home. Also about our opinion of the trip here. It was good, I liked talking with Norman.
As we neared the dining hall Norman asked one last question.
"Nashi I-I was wondering...just for the fun of it. . . if you. . . uh. . . wanted to go horse riding tomorrow? I can understand if you are busy, I mean, you are the P-Princess and all and I'm. . ."
"Are you kidding! I would love to! All I have tomorrow is the ball in the evening so I have nothing in the morning. We can do it then."
"Oh good." Norman said awkwardly.
"Is 9:00 good?" I asked.
"Yes I will be ready then, good bye Princess Nashi." He said unlocking his arm.
I see why, I didn't realize it before but we were right I front of the dining room door.
"Oh right. Thank you Norm for being my escort." I said looking back at him.
"No, thank you." He stated before leaving with one last smile.
Smiling back, I slowly opened the large door.
"Dinner time."
