Biscuit Basket

"Do you need something, Nashi?" Reiki asked leaning against the open bedroom door.

I looked in and saw Gale was in the back of the room, standing near his bed. Storm was sitting on his bed, Reiki, like I said before, was standing at the door.

All with no shirts on.

I quickly looked to the floor with cheek hot and red.
"I. . . uh. . . my uh. . .hat..." I mumbled in shock and embarrassment.

"Oh right, Gale. . . the hat please."

A brown hat then appeared under my nose. I gently but swiftly grabbed the hat and stepped back.

"Nashi?" Reiki said in a childish sing-songy voice.

"Yeah." I grumbled, not breaking eye contact with the floor.

"Aren't you going to say 'good morning'?"

He was right in a way. I just knocked on someone's door without any inviting statement and already said a demand.

I sighed and look up.

"Reiki, Gale, Storm. . ." I said,looking into each of their eyes when I said their names, ignoring the embarrassment for now.
"Good morning, I hoped you all slept well."

With hat in hand, I curtsied and walked off making my way into my bedroom.

I quickly closed the door behind me and collapsed on my mattress.
My cheeks were still blazing with heat as I lie on the cool fabric.

"Well that's was interesting." I said to no one in particular.

I sat up, a tired groan left my lips. Adjusting the leather hat on my head so all my hair was under the fur, I went to the door to go to the kitchen to see if I could make myself useful.

Reiki and Gale were out already, fully dressed and sitting at the large dinner table.
They were talking about something I didn't really mind to pay attention to. All I wanted to do was to get to the kitchen.

Like before, the clattering of pots and pans could be heard from behind the door. I slowly cracked open the door to see what all the commotion was.

The kitchen was one busy place. There were several pots boiling and pans frying. Dishes were scattered everywhere across the counter tops.

"Oh, good morning, Nashi." Nova said holding a basket of biscuits.

"Good morning Nova, do you need help with anything?" I chirped.

"Oh yeah, can you hold these while I check on the meat." She said handing me the basket.

"Sure!" I replied, holding the biscuits in one hand and closing the doors with the other.

Rosemary was also in the kitchen. She was washing some of the dirty dishes that have already been used by Nova.

It looks like Nova had made some kind of meat, eggs, biscuits, and prepared an assortment of fruit.
How long has she been awake? It must have token her hours to prepare all this.

"Nashi, can you take this and the biscuits out to the table." The blonde cook said, handing me a small tray with butter.

"Ok." I said, taking both and exiting the room.

"Oh and Nashi!" Nova cried out before the door shut.

"Yes?" I asked, catching the doors with my elbow.

"Make sure the boys down eat anything before it's time to start breakfast."

"Yes ma'am."

I walked out and placed the biscuits and butter on the table.

"Wow! If the meal looks as good as these biscuits then we're in for a treat." Reiki cheered, looking down at the blanket I just placed down.

The table was now filled with food of every kind. A small ham sat in the middle of the table, gold biscuits and vibrant fruit. A good serving of eggs and more!

Everyone was seated and ready to eat. All of us sat in the same seats as the night before.

"Ok." Nova said taking off her red apron.
"Let's eat."

Piling our plates, we emptied the center platters into our own. Everything looked absolutely amazing!

"Eat good guys. We will be doing a lot today." Storm said between bites.

"Like what?" I shyly asked.

"Well, some of us are going to plan and some are going to train." He said after swallowing some of his eggs.

"Train?" I curiously repeated.

"Yeah, you Nashi." Rosemary chirped, grabbing a biscuit from the middle of the table.

"Wha-. . .why me?"
