"How was your trip my dear?" My mother asked me softly."Wonderful." I answered back.
"That's good." My Father said with much care.
We sat there in the center of that stair case for a good while. See my Mother and Father again made me realized how much I misses them. Even if I was away from them for a few days.
"Those soldiers of yours didn't give you any trouble, did they?" My Father asked loosening me from his grip to facing me.
I giggled and my Mother said,
"Natsu, I bet they were real gentlemen. Right Nashi?""Yes, a soldier named Nash especially was a big help." I told them.
I looked at my Father, he flinched after my comment. He looked almost scared for some reason.
"Is there something wrong?" I asked.
"N-no it's nothing Nashi." My Father swiftly responded.
I turned to look at my Mothers response to my Fathers actions. She was almost the same. She seemed a bit nervous like him, except my Mother looked more sad.
I grabbed my Mother's hand. She looked up at me, I smiled at her because, for some reason I didn't know, she was upset.
I didn't want to ask what was wrong. It seemed like one of those things that they would tell me in the future, that I didn't need to know now.
"We're unpacked and ready to go in your Highness." It was Mira. She had just walked up the steps behind us with a gentle smile across her face.
"Oh yes, very good Mira. Let's go inside now." My Father hummed, taking my Mother's hand and beginning to climb the steps.
I look up at them as we went up to the castle doors. That's when I saw my Mother, squeezing my Father's hand very tightly like she was scared.
I was worried but I had to ignore it for now. I have to focus on getting ready to be a princess.
We enter in through the main doors of the castle. The soldiers that came with us on our travels were going around the castle to the stables to take care of the horses.
I looked back through the castle door before they shut. I look to see Nash, standing at the bottom of the steps. . . almost angry. But before I could figure out more or why he was like this the doors closed and my attention was put to other things.
The castle interior was much like our castle back at home. It had tall staircases and beautiful paintings. The walls were white with trims of gold and silver lining them.
"This will be our home for the next week." I heard my mother say as we walked up another set of stairs.
"But unlike our home you behave yourself Nashi. Now you must act 100% like a princess." My Father added.
"As you wish Father." I said but sticking out my tongue afterwards. Thank goodness he didn't see.
I continued to follow them down that halls with Mira at my side. We ventured passed many maids and butlers who seemed as nervous as Norman on a regular basis.
"Here we are." My Mother said as we reached a room at the end of a long hall.
"This is your room."I walked into the room with its doors open wide.
It was large with plenty of space to dance around. It had a large bed at the end of the room, big enough for five people I think. The room was white much like the rest of the castle but it had hints of pink everywhere. On one wall it had a vanity and another a bookshelf. The large room connected to a bathroom with a large sink and bathtub.
I continued looking at everything in my room, taking in every new detail."Beautiful isn't?" My Mother said as she looked out the large window in my room.
"Very." I said as I joined her at the window.
My Father then followed, joining us at the window. The view wasn't the greatest thing but it was probably the most interesting. The window was above the stables were we watched our men unhitch their horses and enter the castle.
I looked down to see Iona in the stables with her saddle still on. I searched around to see if I could find Nash, seeing he still hasn't taken off Iona's saddle.
My eyes looked though the many groups of men at the ground floor.
Finally I found Nash.
He was sitting in a barrel not to far from Iona's stable. He looked angry, much like he did before.I was confused on why this was. I watched as the blonde soldier stood up and kicked the barrel to his side and walk over to Iona.
"Nash." I whispered with much concern.
All of a sudden the window curtains closed. I looked to see my Father with an upset and enraged face.
"Father, but. . ." I began to say.
My Mother placed her hand on my Father's back. He calmed down and walked out of my room with my Mother behind him. Before they left my Mother turned, smiled at me, and closed the door.
