The Perfect Hell

Chapter Ten

Third Person - in Calgary 2 months later

Nathaniel knocked on his little brothers front door. Hesitating in the process. He didn't know how he was going to say this to Vincente.

Vince finally opened up the door to a sleepy groggy face. "Yeah?" He said partially asleep and rubbing his eyes.

Without Felicia around, of course Vince would lose track of time. He wondered how Danciella was holding up. Almost on cue, she popped through the door at the very bottom.

Yeah, she knows how to walk. After many nights and days of the girls (the wives of Nath and Alexandre), she finally learned how to walk.

"Uncle!" She exclaimed, reaching her hands up to be carried. This girl was the youngest so far of the family. Younger than his kids who were in grade 1 and kindergarten. She was spoiled rotten especially by Vince.

Nath picked her up. He returned his conversation with Vince who opened the door wider and let him inside the apartment. Nath took a seat on the couch before beginning.

"Ma and Pa found out where Felicia is," he said straight up.

All three of them, Nath, Alex and Vince, had promised Felicia that their parents wouldn't know about her whereabouts.

However, his wife and Alex's were quite talkative at the dinner during a monthly family dinner. Of course, Vince and Felicia weren't invited. Nath never did forgive his parents for kicking them not only out of the house but out of their lives. The wives revealed that Felicia had sent them some designer bag for their birthdays and that these bags could only be from Toronto.

My parents grew furious. They were smart to figure out how they received Toronto only bags and that Felicia gave it to them.

Alex and I got scolded at for not telling our parents sooner of Felicia's plans of leaving the city. We told them it was for university but they thought otherwise, thinking she's pregnant and didn't want to be near them. I swore I could've hit right through a wall that night.

Now, their decision was to check up on Felicia by next week.

I looked up at Vince who had wide eyes in disbelief. He ran his hand through his hair and asked, "HOW DID THEY FRIGGING FIND OUT?!"

"The wives," Nath responded also disappointed in his own wife.

Vince shouted in anger. Danciella got worried and tried reaching out to Vince but Nath held her back in his lap, scared she could get hurt.

Vince started pacing back and forth. He didn't know what to do at that moment. Felicia wanted a new life away from their pesky parents. That's why she left. Vince and Nath were oblivious to the fact that Felicia was dealing with other issues.

Somehow, however, both Nath and Vince and Alex had to figure out a way to avoid contact between the parents and Felicia. They all knew it wouldn't be a pretty picture and Felicia would be dragged back to Calgary despite her studies.

Vince dialled Alex's number and invited him over. At this point, Danci had fallen asleep and was in Felicia's old room. The three brothers discussed what they plan to do. They only had a week to try to keep their parents from flying to Toronto and dragging Felicia back. They were ready to protect their little sister.

Third Person - Toronto also 2 months later

He hears the clicking sounds of keys rattling in the door. The hushed voices behind the thick silver door which prevented me from leaving. The door opened up slightly revealing a dark figure wearing black uniform. The officer's hat covered his eyes as he approached him in the corner of the room. The officer pushed the keys into the hole and rattled it several times. The lock had rusted over the two months making it more and more painful each day. The lock came loose and the officer rattled with the other hand's lock.
