Chapter 34

Felicia's POV

I stared at my dad. Shocked? Surprised? Angry? Disappointed? I don't know how I was feeling anymore because all this time, my dad was part of the werewolf world and he had never told me!

Look where I am now, I wanted to scream at him. If I had known, Daniel and I could've been together much earlier and things could have been slightly different from the ways it is now.

But I said nothing.

"Let's get this straight. This is a long story and I will explain everything to you, but first, I am human, so is your mother," Dad said.

Wait, what?! I don't understand.

Again, I remained quiet.

"Your mother and I was happy, very happy together. We had Nathaniel and Alexandre as proof," he smiled grandly. Then he looked at Deryk.

"Then I met my mate. She was beautiful. She was a werewolf. Her name was Annaliza Liabella. I was never so attracted to a woman before. I forgot about your mother for about three years. Your brothers don't remember this, but your mother clearly remembers. She was heartbroken and believed I had died. She searched everywhere, but I was nowhere to be found. I was in France.

"Annaliza had been visiting our city for just a bit, to visit another pack and to find her mate. Well, she found her mate and without checking, brought me to France with her to her pack. We lived there together happily, and I was blinded with her love and beauty to even remember of the family I already had. After the mating process, she gave birth to Vincente. But she was weak and young, Vince was strong and big for his age. She died soon after. That's when my past came back to me, and I went to go back to your mother.

"I met Annaliza's brother, Derykave Liabella. You know him as Deryk. He was to help me return to my family and also take care of Vincente as he grew older. I returned back here to Calgary.

"Your mother forgave me for running away, because she was glad I wasn't dead. But she never forgave me for having another child with another woman. She knows of the werewolf world, just like I do. But we never really cared much for it especially since Vince showed no signs of inheriting that werewolf gene from his mother. He was more human than supernatural. Your mother was glad, and that is what made her accept, not completely but partially, Vince into the family.

"Few years after, we had you. I expected you to be 100% human, but when Deryk visited us when you were still a baby, he said there was something peculiar about you. You have human blood coursing through your veins but there is something else. It gave you an alluring aura, lots of people were attracted to you as a child. Deryk kept an eye on you, but we never expected that you would leave us. Your mother also had a distaste for you since your childhood, so forgive her actions now.

"When Deryk found out that you were the mate of Daniel, Deryk figured that I carried some werewolf in me. It's weird, but it got transferred to you through my interaction with Annaliza. So indirectly, she is also your mother and Vince's mother. Yet, your mother and I are your biological mother. Vince's biological mother is Annaliza."

I stayed still. How was I supposed to react to that?

"At least, now you know why Daniel is attracted to you. You have werewolf in you!" Senkka excited squealed.
