Chapter 30
Third Person
Colas got up from his bed an wobbles out into his parents' room with Raver.
He walked over to Raver and smiled. He was glad he got a little brother even if he isn't of the same blood. Colas was happy to have a family again after living in so many years by himself with others shouting at him.
Raver mumbled something in his sleep and turned to face the wall away from his brother's view.
Colas noticed a piece of paper from underneath Raver's body. He picked it up and unfolded the paper.
My son and my mate will soon be mine again.
-JonnaroyA.
Colas didn't understand what mate was at this point. Even though he had strong feelings towards Danciella, Felicia's niece. He was upset when she had to leave but was determined to go find her again someday.
He looked at the piece of paper again but this time at the name. JonnaroyA? It sounded familiar to Colas but he couldn't recall who it was. He folded up the piece of paper and settled it on his mom's vanity table.
Colas then went into the bathroom to brush his teeth.
After a few minutes, Colas heard Raver crying. He turned off the tap and put his toothbrush away as he wiped his mouth.
Colas walked out to see a crying Raver. He had his arms up in the air wailing. No one could understand Raver's cries but he desperately wanted someone to come get him and take away from the person reaching out to him.
The person was a shadow, embraced with darkness with no face or any indication of life. It was just a lifeless figure of black.
Colas tilted his head and walked towards his little brother. Raver was screaming and reaching out of the crib. Colas reached over and picked up Raver and rocked him back and forth.
Colas couldn't and didn't see the shadow figure standing behind him.
Soon, Raver had fallen back to sleep. Felicia woke up and came to her boys. She picked up Raver and pushed Colas out the door so Daniel could sleep some more.
Felicia also didn't notice the shadow figure behind her as she left the bedroom.
The shadow stayed behind in the room and retrieved back off the window before Daniel or anybody else would notice them.
All the shadow wanted to do was see the baby boy.
And that wasn't Colas.
Felicia's POV
"Momma," Colas said, he handed me his bowl of cereal. Actually, empty bowl.
I filled his bowl again with cinnamon toast crunch and added milk. He took his bowl, retuned to his seat in the kitchen and began munching on his cereal. Raver had also woken up and was playing with small pieces of cereal in his high chair. He would eat some eventually.
I smiled at my boys as Daniel came in with a stern serious look. My smile disappeared as he approached me. He handed me a piece of folded paper.
Daniel watched me as I unfolded the piece of paper and read it to myself. Surprised isn't the right word to describe how I felt. I was scared for my life.

Werewolf“Felicia,” he began. I didn’t know why he looked so desperately upset. He shouldn’t be upset. I should be, because somehow Mrs. Audrian’s pack had hurt mine and Daniel was part of this so called “pack.” Pack? Why did she say pack before? “Please-”...
