"Don't talk to him."

"Why not?"

"He'll break your heart."

"Not before I break his little heart first."

Onward came the next day as Cindy strolled through the doors. She carelessly threw off her beanie and tossed it in her messy locker. She slipped her black ripped jean jacket off and tossed that in too.

"Damn." She chuckled to herself as she looked at her locker. Only a week into her new school and her locker was a mess. But the good part was, she had made plenty of friends. Her grades were off to a pretty good enough start and her teachers seemed nice enough. What could go wrong?

The possibilities were endless.

One of then just had to be tall, punk, popular Luke Hemmings. The supposedly 'bad boy' is what everyone referred to him.

Oh yeah, Cindy thought. There are always one of those kids in every school. No need to worry about them, they usually don't notice me. Which was in fact, true. She found that Luke Hemmings didn't necessarily aim for any girl. They came to him. And he would simply break her heart. But he would still have girls fall for his charming personality. The ring on his lip, the quiff, the way he towered over every girl, his attractive laugh.
It was just the punk look he gave off which gave him an intimidating look which of course, gave him the advantage of girls.

Now Cindy wasn't any goody two shoes. She absolutely loved the way many boys were so heartless. They were stupid enough not to see that a girl liked them so much. Cindy wished both girls and boys weren't so blind to see the other's love for them.

It was when it absolutely triggered Cindy when a very own friend of hers approached her one day in tears.

"He's a liar!" she yelled and threw herself upon Cindy. Cindy was taken back in surprise then frowned when her close friend spoke, 'Luke'.

"I hate him. I hate him." she whispered. Cindy patted her friend's back and whispered soothing things.

"It's okay, the players are never worth it." she cooed and Cindy's friend nodded as she wiped her tears.

"Thanks Cindy."

Cindy smiled and walked home that day thinking of none other than, Luke Hemmings.

"Luke Hemmings." she spoke proudly as she gazed a bit upward at the tall boy. He squinted his eyes in her direction. It almost looked as if he was sniffing her.

"Do I know you?"

"No."

"Oh well, hi." he grinned a charming grin. It didn't have Cindy falling just yet though.

"I'm going to break your little heart," she shoved her finger in his chest and muttered, "in two."
Before Cindy could remove her hand, she felt Luke's chest rumble with a slight chuckle.

"You're gonna what?"

"I'm gonna break your cold heart."

Luke laughed clutching his stomach. "Alright mate, good luck with that."

Cindy turned on her heels after giving him a cold stare. She didn't know what else to say but definitely knew her bravery didn't faze him at all. She was surely going to teach him a lesson real soon.

Luke watched Cindy walk away. He stared at her in interest. Her rebellious personality interested him. He liked the way she walked off with a few stomps of her converse.
