fyi: everything in this book is made up. i never do my research, the stories are all fictional anyway. though this specific chapter is related to a movie that came out before i was even born. so creds to that very cringey movie that everyone still loves today, including me.
time period: late 90s
also unedited.
also imma say it again, this is really cringey but thats cause of the time period of the story. i made it cringey on purpose.
.........
Luke and Annie were best friends. They pretty much ruled college together. Everyone knew them, everyone talked about them, and everyone loved them
Annie, the principal's pet. Tomboy, athletic, beat Luke's ass in every single game of basketball. Smart and knows nothing about being...a girl. Her hair was short, practically a bob and always pushed back with some large athletic headband. she wore sports jackets and basketball shorts like all the time. She hated when people called her a girl. It wasn't that she hated being a girl, it was the fact that nearly every girl in her college annoyed the shit out of her. She didn't want to be all girly like them. Which was why most of her friends were guys including her best friend, Luke.
Mr. Luke Hemmings, hates the principal. He was pulled back a year from poor grades, which is how he met his best friend, Annie. He's pretty much the f-boy of his college, befriending girl after girl behind each girl's back. He claimed to never date anyone unless he falls in love, which he never has so Mr. Hemmings continues to mess around. Luke was ass at basketball especially against Annie but he hated to admit it. He was the cool kid and Annie was not, but the two failed to see it because nothing changed their opinions on each other.
Though one day their lives both changed when a new girl entered the school all the way from Oxford back in London. She was the principal's daughter and this is how her and Luke's meeting went down.
......
"Good morning Mr. Principal! Happy friendship day!!" Annie yelled with enthusiasm. Her personality was always bright and loud. Wherever she walked she lit up the halls with her enthusiasm that no one complained about. Because she was Annie, Luke's best friend.
"Ah!" the principal jumped and touched the large bald part of his head. He grabbed his chest and readied himself to yell at the student until he noticed it was Annie. "Annie! Dear, you scared the daylights out of me."
"Sorry sir! I just wanted to give you this bracelet because it's friendship day." Annie grinned and dangled the small neon bracelet with a black clip at the end. The principal grinned with delight.
"How sweet of you!" he held out his wrist as Annie excitedly clipped it on.
"You seem happier as usual today, by the way." Annie chuckled while adjusting her new baggy army pants.
"And what is that supposed to mean?" the principal frowned while adjusting his glasses. He glared at Annie with a small squint in his right eye.
"Oh no no! I mean, I mean...you seem excited about something today? Your face is glowing." she winked and nudged his arm. A giggle escaped the old man's lips.
"Oh!" his cheeks reddened a little as he fumbled for words. His eyes brightened as realization hit him. "Oh my daughter! My daughter Tina! She's coming here to Australia today to finish her last year of college with you guys. She's coming all the way from Oxford University in London! I really miss her Annie dear, which is why I asked her to transfer back to her hometown. You will do me a favor and show her around right?" the principal's eyes glimmered with hope as Annie nodded proudly.
