The moment his fist connected with my jaw I noticed the tiles had spots on them. Or did my eyes have spots on them?

I felt my head slam back onto the ground when a shoe landed on my face. I was silently begging him to stop, silently crying. The shoe that was pressing me down then lifted and I was left with the smell of dry dirt trailing down my cheek. But he wasn't done yet.

"Stand up." He ordered, but I lay motionless staring at the tiles trying to blink away the spots. They seemed to be getting bigger the more I blinked.
"What? Are you dead too?!" He shouted. "I said GET UP." I hoisted myself up with wobbly arms and he instantly grabbed me by the collar. Blood dripped down the side of lip trailing down to his thumb. He smirked at the sight of it, overjoyed even. "Why won't you speak nerd? After all this? Such a stubborn little girl you are." He tapped my cheek. I refused to speak, instead I spat the blood from my mouth on his face.

I expected his hand to loosen so I can take off. I expected him to scrunch his nose in disgust and run after me. Instead, his grip grew tighter. I squeezed my eyes shut waiting for a blow. He only let out a low chuckle then shoved me to the ground. I stared at him as he looked at me with the same cold stare. I backed away quickly and noticed his eyes shift into a million shades of blue. I concluded that it was probably my mind going crazy.

He walked towards me slowly and I noticed how mesmerizing his eyes were. I couldn't move. My mind told me to run. But I didn't flinch once he trailed a single finger down my cheek softly.

"I enjoy seeing you suffer Elyse. " he whispered then gripped my hair and yanked me forward as I felt his hot breath fanning my ear. He kissed right below my earlobe gently then whispered, "party at my house at 8 tomorrow. If you don't arrive, you know what will happen." He smirked then shoved my head away followed by a spit. He wiped his face, smirked, then vanished.

I breathed a sigh of relief then stiffened when I noticed some movement. I was already alone in an alley, I didn't want things to get any more worse. There were footsteps and suddenly I was met with familiar eyes staring at me in concern.

"Are you okay?" He asked me helping me up. I nodded looking around frantically to see if he was still here. "I'm calling an ambulance. " he muttered but I shook my head violently and slapped the phone out of his hands. He stared me with wide eyes as I frowned and made a cut throat motion with my hands.

"Are you okay? Can you breathe?" He motioned to my throat and I nodded. I picked up a rock from the ground then scribbled something on the wall next to me.

mute.

He read it and I wiped it off immediately. He nodded slowly then picked up his phone helped me out of the alley. My jaw ached but my head was pounding as if it was being smashed into concrete repeatedly. We sat down in the small car and the boy smiled at me.

"My name is Ashton...if you forgot or something. And you're Elyse right?"

I nodded. I knew Ashton, I had just forgotten his name. I remember seeing him around the halls but the boy was just like any other normal kid to me.

"Do you want to tell me what happened?" He asked me slowly as he started the car. I slipped out my phone and voiced my messages with it.

I fell.

Ashton gave me an 'are you serious' look.

"I meant whos the bitch that beat you up, Elyse?"

I shook my head angrily then typed in again.

I fell.

Ashton sighed and decided to drop it. I typed in the directions for him and he was silent the rest of the way.
