a/n: this song always shows me the light at the end of tunnel
so I grew inspired and wrote this
It was a dark time. The middle of fall. My eyes burned from crying all day as the past events took place in my head. I didn't know why it hurt so much but maybe it was because I never experienced heart break. Everything was going down, like a plane crash.
Suddenly I went from happy and hard-working to bad. Just...bad. A bad influence, a horrible person to be around. It all happened because I changed. I found someone and that someone told me that it's okay to try hard and fit in and be someone else that you're not. As long as you enjoy. And I did, I enjoyed it. But I didn't know that it was wrong and that later on, all the bad things I did that made me happy were going to end. And the things that I did would leave marks on others. And they weren't going to leave a good mark, they were going to leave a bad aftermath.
I felt like Taylor Swift, almost. That one music video she made called 'I Knew You Were Trouble'. Except I didn't know where I was going. (I also am not as hot as her) I was lured in through wanting to change my ways and be cool. I thought it was cool to be bad and hang out with badass people.
But then, after 2 years, I decided to walk in to another deafening party. Same old, same old. I was in a tight, bright, navy blue dress. I had come alone that night, for the first time. I didn't know where my group had gone but they were probably inside playing beer pong somewhere.
It was a Tuesday night. I walked in further and further, my eyes squinting at the blinding lights that shined in my eyes for a moment then disappeared to another area of the room. The house was average sized so the couches were full. Some were too engrossed in each other while others played intense games of spin the bottle. My aim was to get waisted and find my boyfriend so we can lock ourselves in a bedroom.
"Hey, are you okay?" A blonde, curly haired, dimpled boy approached me.
"Yeah...why?" I yelled a bit too loudly and he chuckled.
"You seem a bit lost."
"I'm just looking for someone...and something to drink."
"Well...there is water..."
"You're joking right?" I yelled in his ear and he smirked.
"Oh so you're into soda then?"
"Get me some alcohol, dimples."
"Oh, sorry honey but you seem a bit underage."
"This whole room is full of kids underage drinking."
"I suggest you remain sober for tonight, that is all."
"Who the hell are you?" I muttered crossing my arms over my small chest. I didn't have too much cleavage to reveal which sucked but as of now, I didn't really care. I just needed my boyfriend badly.
"I'm Ashton Irwin."
"And what do you know about me?"
"Nearly everything. Now I suggest you drink a tall glass of water and proceed to the dance floor."
"I told you, I need to find my boyfriend."
"I also...don't recommend that." He mumbled a little too inaudible to hear but I heard him anyway.
"What? What do you mean?" I frowned. Ashton scratched the back of his neck awkwardly and ignored my question. He sipped from his cup. "I said, what do you mean?!" I yelled and a few guys turned to look at me.
