"Another dreadful day here at Hamilton High." My best friend rolled her eyes at me through the camera. She sat in bed across the world wrapped up in layers of blankets since it was winter there. I chuckled and sighed as I walked to the bus stop.

"My dreadful day is just starting." I groaned dramatically as I neared the bus stop. I glanced to meet my eyes with the stunning Michael Clifford then quickly glanced down at my phone again. "Alright I gotta go."

"Have a good day Alayna." She smiled through the screen and I returned it then shut my phone off. I stood waiting for the bus next to some tall senior who was quieter than a mouse. I adjusted my band tee glancing at my reflection through my phone. Gotta look good for Michael Clifford I thought to myself and smiled shaking my head. Obvipusly he was way too good for me. He had an amazing girlfriend anyway, he didn't need me.

Shutup Alayna, god I needed to just to get over him. I didn't stand a chance. He was so popular and I was just so...not. You can call me shy, but I guess I was just too scared to talk to the boy I had fallen so hard for in a very long time. I glanced up again and watched Michael as he made small talk with a girl who stood next to him. My stomach boiled with jealousy then immediately faded as the girl continuously glanced at the boy in front of me. I smiled and felt like screaming out 'hey man the girl likes you' because it was so obvious he liked her back. Just then I heard the voice that made my heart flutter every time.

"Hey bro." Michael was standing in front of me and was smiling at the boy in front of me. I looked back at the girl Michael was talking to. Her eyes were wide as she shook her head then looked away immediately when Michael began speaking again.

"You see that girl?" Michael whispered, and the boy nodded. "Go get her bro."

"What?" he looked genuinely confused.

"You like her?" Michael questioned.

"Well--um yeah but--"

"Then go get her." Michael pushed him towards and I watched him slowly approach her.

"Hey Lynn." The boy whispered and Lynn's eyes immediately shone with excitement. I smiled to myself and looked away just in time to see the bus arrive. I shoved my ear buds in and was the first to hop the bus. I took a seat close to the back but not too close and scooted all the way over to the window. I watched Michael sit two seats behind me. I sighed to myself, layed my head on the window, and blasted my music as we arrived to school in less than 20 minutes.

"So how's your day?"

"Depressing as always." I rolled my eyes.

"Any good news about Michael Clifford?" My best friend Ashton winked and I had to remind myself that Ashton was not gay. At least he claimed he wasn't.

"Sadly," I sighed dramatically, "the beautiful, gorgeous, stunning boy will never notice me." I placed a palm to my forehead as if I was emotionally unstable. Ashton laughed at my drama.

"You should become an actor, Alayna."

I laughed and rolled my eyes changing the song on my phone. I bit into the last of my food then tossed my tray in the trash. My eyes widened as I realized I was on my period and hadn't changed since this morning.

"Hey I gotta use the bathroom, I'll be back in a few." I spoke then fled without getting my usual nod of approval from Ash. I ran as fast I could as I was reminded on the sharp cramp in stomach.
