I looked at the girl who I had gotten closed to ones,

Maya Cohen, her dark hair and beautiful blue eyes that I had always loved, she traps me in her well to familiar hugs that I missed,

But I would not let her get close to me again, I can't have people to care about in my life, it's better for me to be alone and that's how I intend to stay, without further ado I had planned on feigning not remembering her or who she was, I knew it was going to be difficult but I was still determined.

"Who are are you?"

I felt her body tensed and she quickly let go, then she studied me, I knew she was a werewolf which was surprising considering she had never mentioned it, I could smell her, like I could smell the rest of the werewolves in this place, it's covered with them.

Her dark hair resting on her shoulder as she studied me, but I never gave her any clue to find out the real me, and that's what I planned on keeping,

"I'm sorry you look like a friend of my from the past"

She apologized, receiving her a small forced faint smile, as she sat back down deep in thought, I could read her, and knew what she was thinking, it was one of the many pros that came from being a half werewolf and half mystery, for wolf I could hear their thoughts and everyone else, I had only found this out when I accidentally read into my mother's mind and that's how I knew of the long life secret,

"I know it's her", she thought as she averted her eyes on her lap,

The atmosphere somehow changed , and I could feel the attention of my mate, so I turned around and gave him a fake smile then turned my attention towards Sally who was happily chatting away with the rest of the group,

As I to myself drift into my own silly and yet conflicting thoughts.

School had finally finished, I drove my way towards my house and ones I got there I changed out then headed towards the woods.

Before I moved here I had researched this area, there was a pack nearby, the biggest pack in which Shane leads, meaning he's the alpha of the the second biggest pack, the first was my mother's, she was an alpha as well the biggest of all, after her father died the title was handed over to her, but sadly she never got a male child instead me, now she's the only one leading it until I finally decided to take over myself,

Both my pack and Shane's were in the same area, my pack members never knew of me because my mother had sealed that information, no other pack knew of my existent, I know some in formations as to why my mother decided to keep me a secret, but according to her it was for my own good, in which I was utterly confused.

When I got to the woods I decided to shift, my somehow brown almost gold fur shown, every time I shifted I had always felt like my wolfs color wasn't mine but a cover up from my true color in which I had no idea on what it was, my wolf Amaris, had the voice of a leader and the personality of a true worrier ,

"Thank god you finally let me out , I was getting bored at my rather lonely situation"

"I'm sorry Amaris, but we need to talk about our mate, should I tell him the real us?"

There was a moment of silent,

"No keep it this way, when ever we are ready we will reveal him the truth but as of right now there are far too many dangers lurking in shadow for our existent to be revealed and it could get ugly if it were so"

"Alright Amaris whatever you pleased, now shall we go hunt?"

"I thought you'd never ask"

With that we ran and hunt, releasing the stress we bear on our shoulders, I had thought that moving here was a fresh start, but turns out more has yet to come, and I owe my mother a great thanks for sending me to a place I was not ready to familiarize.

Especially with my mate in town and my old friendship who knows information about me, as well as the fact that I basically hid my true identity from everyone of my kind, how will I survive this yet again complicated life that the moon goddess has thrown my path .
